D&D Collection for Saturn
D&D Collection for Saturn
Just got a mint D&D Coll. for $60 (and Souky Otokuyo for an extra $30); unfortunately I've heard the load times really hamper the experience from some guys I know.
What are your opinions on the games? Know of any site that has a review of the collection with pics? Thanks fellas.

Souky is a fine game (rank sucks!). Make sure you play it in Arcade difficulty and die a couple of times to diminish rank. You won't believe the amount of times I've been pissed off from getting to the last boss unscathed and dying a horrible death after another thanks to the uber difficulty.

i have to say i rather dislike the saturn version because of the total lack of english and like you said.. VERY long loading times

still great games im sure youll like alot if youre into hack'n'slash and $60 is a bargain..
Yeah, $60 for a mint copy is a great deal. I think I paid more like $80 for a well used version.
Its great stuff, load time or no.

Cyberbots is a 2D fighter.
Nekketsu Oyako is ass-tastic and not worth the postage it would cost for you to recieve it. Hell, it isn't worth the time it takes to open to case and put it in your Saturn.

I believe you can unlock him in the regular Cyberbots. I'll test it later, would have to beat the game a bunch of times... X_xLoneSage wrote:Yeah, I know Cyberbots is a 2D fighter, I just never seem to find it. I'd much rather get the Limited Edition version, if only for the unlockable Robo-Gouki!

You can unlock Zero-Gouki in both home versions of Cyberbots. It'll take a lot longer on the Saturn version though...
The LE just comes with a nice artbook and box. The game is the exact same as with nearly every other LE out there.
BTW, if you're looking for the Saturn Nekketsu Oyako, Gaijin Punch is currently selling it for $20 no spine (not including shipping).

Am I the only one who didn't like cyberbots? Too bad Battle Circuit didn't get a port...

Right in the money. The japanese sucks when you want to choose a path- not like the english is any better, but it wanted to know what was going on.sven666 wrote:D&D kicks ass... on CPS2... in english... with no loadtimes.LoneSage wrote:Just got a mint D&D Coll. for $60 (and Souky Otokuyo for an extra $30); unfortunately I've heard the load times really hamper the experience from some guys I know.

Great Games!
Nice to be back! I had to make this my returning post. Both games are absolutely fantastic, and well-worth the money. Both D&D games are some of the greatest 2-D side-scrolling fighters ever made; every time I play them, I am amazed at how well-made they are. They rock in more ways than one. D&DC is one of the reasons I bought a Saturn. Not to be left out, Soukyu is also goods. I fell in love with Eighting/Raizing after playing this game. They did a fantastic job on everything in the game, from the enemy design to the quality audio. These are two games that no Saturn owner or fighter/shooter enthusiast should be without. Have fun...
