Border Down No Miss Clear

Post by EOJ »

Here's a really cool Border Down No Miss Clear on Mania difficulty (the hardest in the game) by some Japanese dude:

http://www.interq.or.jp/piano/reunion/nya/index.htm

Click on the link just below the "border down" screenshot, then right click on the link underneath the border down screenshot on that page to download the file. It's 273MB.

Use any current (PowerArchiver, Winrar, etc.) archiving app to decompress it.

EDIT: Wow--- 2.5 MB/second download from home. Nice. Taking a while to decompress. Judging by his description, he suicides on each boss to lower the rank.

Instead of being a cock you could just ask what they are. LZH is a compression scheme widely used in Japan (possibly elsewhere too). Pretty much any decent archiver program will open them. Get used to it if you want to spend any time playing Japanese doujin shmups.

i know theyre a compressed file. i know that perfect cherry blossom, among other games, come as lzh files. my question was actually kinda rhetorical in that I use a mac, and hence have never bothered to open a doujin shooter or uncompress a lzh file.

Don't bother. Sure it's a no-miss/death (on high difficulty) run but it's nothing particularly interesting, compared to what super-play.co.uk has anyway.

Speaking of a decent LZH application, Servant Salamander is what I use. At least this is what I used back when LZH wasn't fully supported everywhere and it does the job.

Sorry to bump this thread, but I was wondering if someone could upload this to Super-Play or somewhere similar, since the video on that dude's site has been taken down.

Thanks in advance.
