This is one of my two games in the making. This will be half of a two game collection. I'm steadly learning OpenGL so I'd like to show what I have so far.
There will be many levels when finished and many types of enemy shot patterns. I guess this game might fall into the catigory of "Boss Parade".
Each level consists on some simple elements one ring and enemies that ride the ring and fire inward at the player. I need YOUR ideas for scoring and chaining. The following demo is just to show the style of the game and get a feel for the main concept. I like to think it's fairly original and hope you enjoy.
Controlls:
Z fire
X set aiming point , hold and move to set aiming directon
How about the enemies splitting up, ala Pang, when fired upon. But different colours colliding to give different scoring...? Not really original but it's a start!
I'm really happy with the color palette and wireframe look. For now, the controlls are set to the Japanese standard "z" for fire. If you hold "x" while moving you can easly change the direction of fire for picking off hard to get turrets. The gameplay is all here little will probably change other than some niceplayer options. I plan to have bosses every 3rd level.These bosses will emerge from the center and you will have to change your frame of mind to fire inward while avoiding outward going shots. Please read the instructions before you play.
