Any tips on the second boss? I always end up with the normal 1-way shot after the boatguy, and I find it very hard to make those heads go away before they start shooting. I know that I can reflect those bullets by slashing but if I slash the water-shot gets me. Just try to get the right timing or are there any tricks?
Besides: what do the green balls do and does anybody use the charged slash attack? If yes, what for?

The green balls are bombs, you can use them by pushing L+R.
I don't use that charged slach attack. Haven't figured out how to make good use of it yet... ?
As for the second boss:
You don't have to care that much for that snakes, just be aware that the octopus will rise where you stay. So if you walk to the right side of the raft, the ocotopus will rise on the right side so you just can walk to the left and attack him diagonally. Then wait on the left side until he surfaces again and then go to the right and so on...
You may try to shoot the snake heads, but shouldn't care to much for them as you can just parry their shots.

On that charge attack she is rotating with that staff of her. you can still move her while she rotates. So maybe it is good for dodging a lot of bullets, or something. But yeah, I think it is hardly of any use... as the regular slash is VERY effective for avoiding bullets.shoe-sama wrote:Woah there's a charge slash?
What a pointless attack. I just use normal shot for melee, lol.

For the record, this isn't a shmups tournament, it's a shooting game tournament.shoe-sama wrote:lol but this isn't a shmup, it's an action rpg
You can't possibly compete with me in this genre.
Of course, I plan on taking the championship having played >5 hours all the weeks combined.thenoble1 wrote:Well, I guess that you are right, shmup isn't the word. I was just more classifying it as a "game I would talk about at this board." Anyways, are you actually competing in your tourney, Nemo?
EDIT: I just looked at week #1 and saw you there.

Doh. I had planned on submitting a half-hearted score, but alas, I guess it was not to be. I suck at these games unless they have some sort of strafing button.

We here shall not rest until we have made a drawing-room of your shaft, and if you do not all finally go down to your doom in patent-leather shoes, then you shall not go at all.
