Double post but it needed to be bumped... got this message from an admin at o3 boards about radio allergy.
Dear o3 friend,
Radio Allergy's ship date has been moved to March 20th. We were hesitant to move the ship date, but wanted to ensure that the game could be the best that it could possibly be.
Amazon.com is the only location to pre order the game, but Gamespot will carry the game at launch.
We are determined to bring the best quality games to our customers and will continue to make decisions that support this.

I appreciated the e-mail from them. Looks like this and Raiden III are coming out around the same time. In some ways I'm happier with the later date, considering that Excelica comes out next week and Karous comes out the first full week of March.szycag wrote:Double post but it needed to be bumped... got this message from an admin at o3 boards about radio allergy.

I am a little disappointed that Amazon is the only place we can pre-order it. While Gamestop/EB might sell it at launch, I can't depend on my local stores to carry it. And sadly Amazon isn't offering a pre-order on Raiden III.
Well, why complain--at least we are getting something!

I think that I'll ask my local GameStop if they have any plans to carry it, but then again, I'm also focusing completely on Exelica and Karous at the moment. I'd be interested in seeing if they even have it "in the computer," though, as well as voicing at least some support for the genre, title, developer and publisher.
I can't help but think that if I didn't have a DC, I would be totally on top of this, as I'd likely have a GCN all set up for fun times. I had the idea to set my dad up with a system because he's been talking about wanting to keep his reflexes and brain pathways and everything all powered-up, so maybe I could get it for him, but something like the Shooting Proficiency Measurement by Triangle Service would probably be better for that.
I'll still ask my local GameStop about both this and Raiden III. If nothing, their answers should be interesting.
Thanks szycag, for the news. Edit- I just noticed your avatar and laughed. That is clever.

At first, I thought that was a high score table entry. I was like, "Wait. In which game did I score al138, and why don't I remember 1CCing anything?!"dhowerter wrote:icepick / al138 / ALL -
As for the rest of your questions, behold: Whoa!! Raiden III News for the U.S...
I suppose that's what I get for going off-topic.
Edit- Nevermind, I see that you saw the topic while I was linking you to the topic.

If they do I hope it won't be a Wii game per se. Especially because it's more than capable than running on the GCN, and hey, backwards compatability etc. Also, I don't have a Wii, and I doubt the chances of me being able to pry my girlfriend's Wii off her are that great.Koa Zo wrote:Wii?Monk 0 Nuggets wrote:I was thinking the same thing.

Today I asked Gamestop. They told me it was moved to June.Pixel_Outlaw wrote:"Radio Allergy's ship date has been moved to March 20th. We were

Raiden 3, still late April.

I ask at my local game stops and they think I'm speaking Japanese when I ask about Radio Allergy!

Too much Chicken Little syndrome.
From what I've read on the FORUM on the 03 web page, an employee said he works at gamestop and they set their own release dates. Quit worrying about gamestop and buy it off amazon or simply wait for it on ebay. The game has the same release date.

Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

Well It's because I have some small hope that purchasing and support US released shumps (Radio Allergy, Raiden III, Chaos Field, etc.), we'll see more US publishers bring over other titles like Ibara, Homura, Mushihime, Espgaluda, etc.Ceph wrote:Why are y'all so excited about this?
Isn't this a case of YARR BOING?
I doubt it will every happen, but I'll still support the shump genre in the US and worldwide.

I don't doubt it. I was unable to verify if the pimple-faced kid checked his computer system or just shook a modded 8-ball.

I was hopeful that EB/Gamestop would get it on their system, if only just before release, despite the news from O3's message board that Amazon would be the only place to pre-order the game. I gave in Saturday and pre-ordered it from Amazon. It's the first time I've done so from Amazon, so here is hoping things go well. At least I was able to get free shipping by combining it with a DVD I wanted.Game Rogue wrote:I attempted to pre-buy this at EB yesterday. The clerk tried to pre-sell me Ratatouille for the cube instead. LOL.
BTW: the title was nowhere to be found in his game database or pre-buy binder.
I'm under the impression that Gamestop will still get copies, but its availability will be limited. I work 55+ hours a week, and I couldn't afford to miss the chance to get the game because I couldn't get to a local store in time.
I think its all the more important to support domestic releases of Japanese shooters, especially when the company is willing to improve the presentation of the game a bit. After dealing with the omission of high score saves on Karous, my hope is that a US domestic release of the same title (hinted at on the O3 message board) would include that vital feature. Karous won't happen unless the production run of "Radio Allergy" does relatively well, I imagine.

Sorry for the double post, but I just O3 now claims on their website that Radio Allergy won't ship until April 27th.
First Raiden III is delayed, now this.........
