This must have been mentioned here, but I picked up Gunbird Special Edition for £10
Despite having all the good stuff 60 Hertz, Tate modes etc, there is no Save option which is bloody annoying.
Why the hell can't they add the feature to the game? It can't be that difficult, can it?
Gunbird Special Edition - Good price, but...

Three times! That is pathetic. Even many of the other games that are really bad with autosaving don't require you to save THAT much.raiden wrote:yes. Afair, it was one of these unnerving autosave features where you are supposed to confirm 3 times each time the game wants to save data, though.Did the Japanese Gunbird 1&2 PS2 have high score save?
Still, at least it saves your scores...BrianC wrote:Three times! That is pathetic. What's really odd is that this is a COMMON oversight on the part of companies publishing shmups. Chaos Field is another recent example, in fact an even more frustrating one as it does seem to save button configurations and the amount of time spent playing but not high scores. It seems like this would be one of the very first thoughts when doing a game for a console. It makes me wonder how much the publisher understands the games they're publishing when this happens.
FULL LOCK is BOMB
Man, with ALL those endings to see... A save feature would have been appreciated, and a demo theater too, in which you could access directly to all the endings...
That said, what the hell happened in those four years? Gunbird is reasonable, but Gunbird 2 is very hard... I have troubles to pass stage 5 at child setting
