Got back at 4.30pm today, just had my dinner and a pint of lager. Mmmm.
Enjoyed the week in London, had fun wandering around seeing the sights and meeting all the meet attendees. Enjoyed watching Mills beat Strikers 1945 on both loops, amazed at LUN, BR1 and Neverland on their respective Cave games, and DEL tearing up Ketsui. That Pac-Man guy was a good watch too, as was the guy taking on Mighty Pang's Panic Mode. Had a nice chat with everyone. Hopefully we can meet up sometime soon and do it again. ^_^

Alright I have 2.5 hours of total random stuff which I will cut up and make in to a youtube video whenever my friend gets it off the dv casettes (probably this weekend). Due to massive oversight, I missed all of mills' sweet reaming of 1945 on friday night. Icarus, I know you have some, if you could hook me up that would be nice
Some very interesting interviews and some crazy footage was taken!

Damn, that sure looks like it was a hell of a great time there.
And some excellent pics indeed by DEL and Icarus. It´s fun watching them.
Makes me feel even more sorry I couldn´t make it.
So how many people were there in total? And more importantly, who´s planning to return next time?

Awesome pics guys, keep'em coming! We should be able to share a few more pics from the meet in a few days
About the meet... Wow, awesome weekend guys. It was really nice to know you all, and it's a shame that there wasn't enough time to have a good talk with everybody. Anyway, about my ULTRA runs I can say that I'm quite happy. I got two decent runs over 100 mil (a 126 one I think), one of that ended at stage 5, and with that stick and the pcb version... Well, that's all I wanted
About the guys, I'd really want to say some words about everyone, but it would be difficult. Congrats to everyone about the level of play, in particular I feel the need to underline that Icarus' score on Ketsui! Really impressive, and I think it was only possible because of the competition with the mighty JACK! Ok let's say something else in random order...
Jck played every game, lol!
Masamune, you're an extremely cool guy! If you see somewhere an alien t-shirt, please let me know
Herr Shatten, a lone wolf with a smile for everyone
Plasmo & Dr. Ian, the perfect pair! I already knew the awesomeness of PLSM but it was my first encounter with the Doctor, and it was lollish all the time!
Krgfn, Rj, CVM, luc, it was extremely cool to meet you guys, as expected
Damn, RJ is unbelievable at Mario Kart
Mulletgeezer, MovingT, Smraedis, I really wish there was more time to know you, see you next time as soon as possible
Elbarto, you suddendly disappeared (lol a lot of people did it, I say this just because there were a lot of guys and it was impossible to keep track of everyone!) but it was a great time with you, and thanks for that little help with a few names
Mills, what a great man, and what a show at Strikers
ARC and other Casino aficionados: see ya! And thanks to ARC's brother for the ULTRA code
The italian crew --> great work mates! Thanks so much to Cutie-Sama for the patience
And finally DEL, thanks so much for everything, you know what I'm talking about!
I'm sorry if I'm missing someone, I'll edit the post if it's the case
I'd really like to be there even for the next meet. In fact I'd really like to come back as soon as possible, so see you soon to everybody!

Heh, if Batrider had still been in there, a face-off between DEL, Icarus and Plasmo would have been pretty cool
LUN, I wish I'd been able to hang out with you guys for longer, hopefully I'll get another chance down the line. Glad I managed to be of help, even though I couldn't keep track of everyone either

Lest we forget Gordon The Drunk

Craig, JEF, Gordon
Gordon was the Wonderboy player. Maybe he gave an interview to DOC? He has beaten the Twin Galaxies 1.2mil record on it. He's also been auditioning for Big Brother and is on call-back for it at the moment. I hope and I pray that he gets on the show! I'll be falling off my chair as he bores the Nation with many weeks of Wonderboy tales and 6-4 Ogres
!
--------------------------------

Craig
Craig is all time World No.3 at Jr Pac Man. There's a rumour that the World No.1 - Abdner Ashman from New Jersey put up his WR on a 1998 reworked version of the Jr Pac Man that Craig plays, so Craig could be No.1 or 2, we have yet to find out...?
elbarto - JEF is down every thursday night for Mighty Pang ALLs
.
The Batrider face-off will occur next time.
Ex_Mosquito - I know exactly what you mean. It was Sod's Law that you turned up for the least attended Meet. Meets 1 & 3 were 10 people plus, this one was at least 32 - not counting the local Fighter players who joined in the crowd.
I guess these things take time to build
& we are so scattered.
Playing highlights were BR1's 2-6 on DDP, despite moody joystick and button setup. LUN's Stage 5 on ULTRA (on the PCB - which runs faster on ULTRA than the PS2 port).
Plasmo greatly impressed oldskoolers ARC & ARM with the way he reached the end of ULTRA stage 4. They came to me and said; "Who's that guy in red? He's very talented."
Mills did a calm 2-8 ALL on Strikers 1945 as usual on friday night, with lives to spare at the end. A couple of runs on Saturday night, but no ALLs that night.
Icarus displayed his very controlled skills on Ketsui (a new game to him), & looped DDP.
Mulletgeezer showed his very obvious Cave skills on Ketsui and has recently aquired the board I think? So watch the Ketsui rankings in the near future
.
NEV showed people how Mush Original mode should be played with W-Spread, which is a most difficult task
.

It was a great meet, loads of thanks go to Del, Icarus and whoever else helped with the organising, and for everyones general hospitality.
It was great speaking to all of you, felt a little out of my depth as I tried to get used to the arcade sticks!
Icarus, Mulletgeezer, Lun, Nev, Plasmo, Del, Br1, DrIan, Masamune, smraedis, it was great meeting you all, and hopefully again some time at a future meet, and all the others I never got a chance to speak to such as mills, elbarto, herr schatten and anyone else I'm forgetting...
Special thanks also go to Masamune, you really helped me out man! hope I can repay the favour some day
