It's been played a total of one time since the seal was broken a couple of weeks ago, it's about as mint as it gets.Arznei wrote:Forget it then. When you can get a sealed one for +$20 more, it just isn't worth it.
And next time, watch your mouth. "Thanks but I'll pass" usually wins over "forget it". 50 is a great deal, it's not like I was gonna take you for a ride.

Awesome but this really doesn't help me find somewhere where I can buy it new and sealed for a cheap price. I heard some people even look at people's locations from time to time.
So um I tried play-asia but they aren't the cheapest. Himeya have it too but their shipping is fucking $20 on EVERYTHING which is ridiculous. I know I'm missing somewhere.

$50 is a good deal, and who cares if it has the shrink wrap? I bought mine from wolfgames.com (best place if they still have a copy... $35 before shipping I think). But it's for a "used" copy. I say "used," because I swear to you mine was 100% super ultra mint. I have to wonder if it had even been played once, and was only lacking the shrink wrap... It was MIIINT. So yeah, check there, but his stock is pretty limited, so don't be TOO hopeful.

Honestly, you are not. If you really want a sealed copy, Play Asia is the way to go. You could always hang around E-Bay, but I seriously doubt you'll be able to pick up a sealed copy for under $80 shipped to Australia.Arznei wrote:Awesome but this really doesn't help me find somewhere where I can buy it new and sealed for a cheap price. ...and $50 for a barely used copy is an absolute steal.

You can't. Neither Arika game had a big print run, so there's not sealed copies lying around. You can have them at retail price if you look around Akihabara, but then you have to pay someone to pick it up for you, which is another $10 I would assume.where I can buy it new and sealed for a cheap price.

Yup, I paid that for my copy too. Knocking back DOJ for 50 dollars is lunacy.bullethell wrote:My DOJ shipped yesterday.I bought it 55 British Pounds and that's 82.07608 Euro, brand new but expensive.50 USD is a great price, only 38.06392 Euro, considering you are buying a mint copy of a game thats gonna be more and more expensive.

Next title is gonna be Ibara PS2 JP for 50 BPs.Buying a shmup at the same price as a brand new pal title like FFXII* pal +10 euro, even +20 euro sounds good to me.After all we are buying shmups that we will play them for years to come.Think what crap you have bought over your gaming years and compare them with your proud collection of shooting games.Think, compare, decide wisely before they will disappear from the digital shelves of online stores and the dark ebay will be their new home.freddiebamboo wrote:Yup, I paid that for my copy too. Like I said, it was played once by my careful hands after the seal was broken just a few weeks ago. The manual and superplay DVD have never been touched by the human hand and the case has been stored at room temperature in a non-smoking environment away from all sources of light. That shit is mint.Arznei wrote:Maybe I don't want to purchase games second hand.. because people's definition of "mint" "no scratches" etc, is always up for debate.ArrogantBastard wrote:NTSC-J's offer is a very good deal.
Your loss.

I bought both brand new copies of PS2 shmup imports of DDP-DOJ and ESPgaluda (of course, both have the respective Superplay DVDs included) off of eBay from a seller based in HK -- paid over $140.00+ USD for them both -- so that $50.00 USD for a minty but gently used Arika PS2 port of DDP-DOJ with Superplay DVD is quite a bargin from the likes of NTSC-J IMHO. (And this was about a year & a half ago when I got 'em both...) ^_~
I suppose you'd want a brand new sealed copy of Arika's DDP-DOJ PS2 port but really don't want to pay the asking full price that it commands, right? ^_~

Nice going. Arznei.
NTSC-J was offering you an awesome deal. A very lightly used, like new copy of DOJ for $50 + S&H is worth the cash- especially when this game is bound to start appreciating in value like Border Down did. $50 is less than I paid for DOJ on its release date of 4/10/2003 (IIRC, it was $65 or $70 then for a new copy).
If I didn't already have DOJ, I'd have taken the offer right then and there.

Kinect? KIN NOT.
