Progear (New Thread)

nj - 52,833,690 - 2-3 - Ring/Nail - JP

After a long hiatus, I decided to get back into Progear. One month of training led me to finally surpass 50 mil. I'm fairly sure I can eventually no miss/bomb up to 2-2, which will give a 8~10 mil bonus at the end of 2-1. I can't see myself getting past the 2-2 big plane midboss without bombing though.

Also, I finally realized that if you die in the second loop and have to restart the stage, jewels are worth next to nothing for the rest of the stage. I think every jewel becomes the point value of the small amethyst, but it could be wrong. I assume this is to keep players from suiciding to keep replaying a stage.

Wow, you definitely need to record something, even less than 52. But not for the sake of prove something (IIRC you already recorded a run, right?), just to have a so good run to show ^_^

My 43 mil INP is still up if you want to grab it on the second page of this thread. I'll probably start recording again when I get close to 60 mil.

I died twice in stage 5 which screwed up my ring counter, but overall it was a good run. I'm still trying to figure out how to get past the 2-2 mid boss without bombing, so that's why I didn't bomb at that part even after dieing several times.

Hopefully the INP will play back properly under Windows.

OK, please tell me, do you guys practice the 2nd loop using save states? I **** up my runs starting from 2-1.

In the 2nd loop, you start the stage over if you die, so to practice I just credit feed and make sure to die before the boss.
