Heyo,
I haven't had much time to frequent the board lately, and although I've been finding a bit more, I was wondering if anyone had a blog or the like keeping track of new shooter announcements. I know of Icycalm's, but it seems like he focuses mostly on arcade games, and I'm more interested in console ports. Any sites that list other 'hardcore' (I loathe that word) games that are coming out would be cool as well.

Shmups blog?

We here shall not rest until we have made a drawing-room of your shaft, and if you do not all finally go down to your doom in patent-leather shoes, then you shall not go at all.

Hey man, I'll take this opportunity to explain why I focus on arcade shooters, since you mentioned me in this thread.
Basically, doing it the other way around is inefficient. See, the original version is the arcade version, right? So if you review the arcade version all you have to do to review the port is write a short paragraph explaining the differences, and voila! Ports really don't deserve more than 1-paragraph reviews, and this applies to all kinds of ports, not just for shooters.
That's it, basically.
edit: and you can also keep an eye on insert credit.

True enough, and it's definitely good to see the latest arcade games in action- and, of course, how else would one know which ports to look out for? I just like to keep track of the console releases so that I don't miss out on a game and end up paying $85 for it down the road.
