I've been playing this too though score improvements are few and far between. I can no miss to the end of the fourth stage, stage 5 gives me problems, and 6 tends to be my wall. I did manage to make it to the final boss the first time I reached Stg 6 on one credit though.Circa2113 wrote:I can't be the only one still playing this can I? Regardless, I'm happy with the way I'm improving. Stage 4 is still a bitch though.![]()

People, please use this format for the scores:
Name score stage character
e.g. Rando 1'111'222 5 Yusuke
Not other formats, it makes it a pain to reformat it, thanks.

Also, your character order isn't correct (left) (middle) (right)

Not a new score (well, sort of) but some weird shit happened today when I was playing. At the beggining of stage 3, my score started going up by the millions! Check out the picture of my final score.

If I had kept my cool and not freaked out, I probably have broke 1 billion, it seemed to be moving almost exponentially.

Can you think of anything you did and try to recreate this?
I believe there's a score bug that was "banned" by gamest/arcadia for score submissions; but I haven't found any info on exactly what it is.
I don't want to know for cheap points, I want to know to make sure I don't ever accidentially trigger it.

Not really, the only thing that was different is that I accidently picked up my 2nd player joystick to play instead of the first. I was also playing far more aggressively than I normally do (trying to improve my score a bitzakk wrote:Can you think of anything you did and try to recreate this?

All of the settings were at default, so it had nothing to do with that.
Sorry I couldn't be of anymore help than that.

The score maxes out at 999,999,990 points, at any case. I can't remember what it triggers the bug (something like a certain series of inputs at the beginning or end of stage 3), but please don't post any scores that get inflated by such bug, in case (I know, it sucks to drop a play for a damn bug, but c'est la vie...)

yee ha!
PROMETHEUS - 18,012,220 - ALL - Yusuke
replay : http://www.mediafire.com/?5wdwtqc1tnz
recorded with WolfMAME Plus 0.103
If you're going to watch the replay, there's actually 2 runs in a row recorded, and it's in the 2nd one that I score 18,012,220 (and you'll have to take control and start a new game at the end of playback to see the high score).
sorry about that :p

It's not going to move me up in the ranking but I figured I'd post it anyway. Last form of the final boss. I would have had a good end of game bonus since I had the max amount of life boxes but cunting hell...

I should get back into this game some time, its real fun, but I can´t stand the jerky slowdown.
