Another DC shooter

Post by qatmix »

Trust me this will be worth the wait ;)

http://www.project-firestorm.com/timehu ... unter.html

It should have some interesting original touches.

ITs in 640 * 480 with high res sprites, the amount of stuff it will be chucking around will ensure that its something that benefits from not being on the TG16 ;p

the style is cartoon-like some may not like it, but some fools dont like parodius :)

the top of the page says karugamo something.

wasnt that a shit game? i only know the PC demo version was absolute shit, dunno about the DC one (but unless they've redesigned the whole game, its shit to me at least)

but granted how much you seem know about this game, i guess your impressions come from more than one ugly screenshot, care to enlighten us?

Yup Im working on it.

Its nothing to do with Karango. Its a completely new game, and I will get a better picture up on the site, as that one is 1/2 the resolution and suffering from JPG compression.

Its got a really nice and original gameplay system, but more details later.

so you´re back to working on it again, qatmix?

I had figured it was problems with the DC hardware that kept you locked, was it something else, like lack of time?

I didn't see anything wrong with the graphics. In fact, it looks pretty interesting to me. Certainly looks better than Karango. I'd like more details, a movie ideally.

It might look cute, but the gameplay is anything but.

It will have a range of modes including a 4player option.

I've just checked the website, and this looks damn cool. I'm very partial to my cute 'em ups. Gotta love Cotton...

Anyhow, I'm certainly looking forward to this. Good luck with the project.

I'm asuming this will be available from the normal online stores, all in proper official DC packaging?

Release details are a little bit sketchy atm. But there will soon be a nice hi-res screenshot and maybe even a features list. Followed by some movies.

All I can say is that at the moment there is a screen full of death and its running easily in a frame :)

The screenshot looks great to me-- reminds me of my favorite cute-em up: Harmful Park. Definitely interested.

The game is a long way from finished at the moment. But I thought you giys would appreciate seeing a game getting developed, and maybe later on yuo guys will be able to contribute towards shaping the final product.

We went for the style because we wanted to do a cute shooter. The art team could do a space shooter in 3d if we wanted but that might be our next game. But at the moment we are going for this look and style as we thign it will make it stand out.
