Buying over the net...

Post by MovingTarget »

Other than ebay, where do you buy your games for the saturn and DC?

any particular websites?

I live in the Uk and the one i've used before is 'console-passion' which had very quick delivery.

I've bought from www.paletweb.com and www.markinjapan.com (both also sell on eBay) and every sale so far has gone well...just beware the shipping costs from Japan.

Play Asia is my favorite. A little slow (at least in Italy) but infallible.

People here occasionally have their stuff for sale too, and prices may generally be better than what you find on those other sites ;)

Yeah, forums like these tend to have the best prices and the most descriptive conditions.

I wouldn't say infallible. Remember that PS2 Street Fighter Controller that I ordered from Play Asia back in January? It never came. They offered me store credit last week, which I said would be fine. But now I can't even get the exact amount of store credit that I could use out of them. It's getting ridiculous, not to mention getting on my nerves.

Mmm...Very strange. Usually they re-send the item, based on what I know.

Go to www.importgamesjapan.com for Saturn imports. If they don't have what you're looking for, just send an e-mail and he can for sure find you a copy. I buy all my Saturn and Dreamcast imports from him. Been going through him for years and have never been dissapointed once.

OT, if you live in the US or Canada, www.japanvideogames.com has a great selection of new import PS1 games.

Jay, the guy who owns Importgamesjapan, said he's leaving Japan, that the site's dead, and that he's going to focus solely on Ebay now. It might be worth your while to email him before he leaves Japan, if he hasn't already. I can vouch for his service; no clue on his prices though.

Yeah, sorry about that people. I just found myself. But even though the site is for sale, you can still e-mail him anytime. And his eBay store has alot of nice imports.

Almost. There was the time I ordered Spriggan MK II from them. A week and a half later, the first Spriggan arrived instead (which was the game I wanted more anyway). I would have been pissed if I had already owned it! Needless to say, since that was the game I wanted more anyway, I didn't complain!

That being said, I still have GWG and Psikyo Shooting Col.3 coming from them. That shit better get here soon, dammit! :)
