so, i found a copy of this for $9.99 (!!!) at Target, so i snagged it and tried it out last night. some impressions:

-is it me, or is there some seriously noticeable lag in the control/screen reaction? i tested it on my MAME copy of strider vs. the CCC copy, and seriously, there feels like an ages-long delay in pressing the button and your character doing something.

-tiger road is really cool, despite some frantically dated graphics.

-holy crap, 3 wonders is AMAZING. midnight wanderers--the lost love child of ghosts n goblins & gunstar heroes you never even thought was had. chariot--steampunk meets cute'em up in the best possible ways. oh yeah, and a puzzle game (not my cup o tea). seriously, worth the price of admission alone.

anyway, if you've not gotten this yet, go get it. come on--$10. you can't beat that.

Yeah three wonders is a great great game. I was never allowed to play it when younger.(Throwing away money)

I absolutely HATE Quiz and Dragons.............HATE IT. It's painfull to play.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

I really want to like this collection, but there are too many damn duds. Eco Fighters, 3 Wonders, and Magic Sword can't make up for the rest. Actually, I take that back...most of them aren't that bad...but then there's Speed Rumbler, Quiz and Dragons, and...Block Block.

...and then there's my odd love of Last Duel.

Good, that means I'm not the only one who loves this game.

I never felt any control lag on ST for sure. Didn't notice any perceivable control issues with the other games either.

I haven't felt any kind of input lag with both CCCs either. Or Sega Genesis Collection. Digital Eclipse seem to do good emulation except for sound effects.

The Taito Memories games, however...yuck. With the exception of Raystorm, G Darius and maybe a couple of newer games, I've noticed a very nasty input lag on those. I'd much rather play Darius Gaiden on the Saturn for perfect control. It sucks how the Taito collections play AND look bad, but I keep on getting them for some reason...
