Any online roleplayers here?

Just curious, due to an itching question I've been wanting to ask. It's kinda shmup related, but also roleplay related. Bear with me as I explain.

I'm part of an online RPG community, MUSH based, that has a rather interesting theme:Videogames. Does anyone remember that one show, Captain N? Y'know, the one that had the really badly done versions of characters like Mega Man and Simon Belmont? Well, this MUSH is based on that, except the crappy character interpretations of the show don't exist. Other than that though, it's basically an RPG that takes place in a universe of nothing but videogames, all inexpilcably linked together. Why do I bring it up here? Well, one, I'm hoping there's some interest, and two...I'll be honest.

...In all the time I've been on this MUSH, about...Oh, two years or so now, I've noticed a horrifying lack of genre representation:I'm talking about shmpus. We've got FPS heroes like Gordon Freeman, we've got console staples like Mario, Sonic, and soforth. ...Yet, as of now, these are the only characters from the shmup genre to have ever existed on the MUSH

NOTE:The term drop means that the player is no longer using the character, but still has others on the MUSH. Left means that they are gone entirely.

-David Burton from Gradius III (Based his story on the SFC/ARC version of G3. This is my character there)
-James Burton (Based on Gradius I/II/90Kai. Has since left, may return)
-Shinra (Ikaruga. Pilot of the 1P ship Ikaruga. Has dropped)
-The Guardian (From Guardian Legend, has dropped)
-Spanky the Dolphin (From Aerofighters/Sonic Wings, has dropped, may have left)

...And that's it. Those are, as far as I can tell, the only shmup characters to ever have been there. We don't even have any shmup villains! ...Well, unless you count Sinistar, perhaps, but he's an admin of the place.

Anyway, I'm curious if anyone's interested in this place. Contact me via PM/AIM/Whatever if you'd like more details. I'd really love to see some more shmup heroes/villains on this place, just so we could bring attention to a genre widely ignored by most.

And while I'm at it, I suppose I might as well show a wishlist of who I'd love to see most of all, should any of you ever have a desire to RP a shmup character in a large RP community

-Heroes-
-R-Typer (The current, agreed upon name for the R-Type pilot from R-Type Final. Yes, he would be allowed to use EVERY ship from R-Type Final, all 101 of them)
-Noa Clonebit (Pilot of Knife-Edge from Zanac Neo. She's only 13, and can't drive a car, but she can fly an advanced starfighter!)
-Zowie Scott (Agreed upon name for the pilot of Road British. Sorry, our admin says it's Road British, not Lord British. The name is from the MSX Salamander, and it's assumed that since there's a pilot in red that happens to be female at the end of the NES Salamander, she could very well be the same person)
-Jade Knight (Since no pilot is ever named for this ship, the pilot would have the ship name as his codename)
-Falchion Beta (Same rule as Jade Knight)
-Anyone from Castle Shikigami (Sorry, US names must be used, so the game would be listed on the MUSH as Castle Shikigami, and not Shikigami No Shiro. Hey, it's either Castle Shikigami or Mobile Light Force 2...Take your pick)
-Vic Viper T-301 (Never hurts to have another Vic looking out for Gradius and its allies, right?)

-Villains-
-Cerberus (The pilot/R-Series ship that met a fateful end within the bydo dimension of R-Type Delta, and became a boss fight in R-Type Final. He could also be apped in his pre-bydo phase, but I think he'd be far more interesting after he becomes the "Forest Watchdog")
-Bacterion (I play a Gradius character, I need my arch enemy from Gradius III!)
-Doctor Venom (One of the more 'human' villains of Gradius, assuming you don't go off his Gradius V arc)
-Gofer (Another Bacterian leader)
-The Space Invaders (Yes. Despite the fact there's a lot of fondness for classic games, THERE ARE NO SPACE INVADERS! This is an INJUSTICE!)
-The Original System (The AI network from the Zanac series)

Anyway, if this came off as too much of an ad/plug, I apologize. I'm just trying to see if there's any shmup enthusiasts here that also enjoy RPing, as I'd love to be able to get more shmuppers onto this place. I feel so lonely being one of the only ones...
