Mushihime-sama? I think it translates as insect princess or something similar.

It's not arcade perfect but it's still just as enjoyable to play as the arcade. There's no reason not to pick up the PS2 port IMO especially as the Taito Best version is so cheap.Radiant wrote:noShotgunfacelift wrote: I doubt the PS version would be as good as the arcade!
the only good port is espgaluda
Graphics look fine to me on my old TATE'd CRT set.

Maybe because they're, you know... an arcade and not a PCB reseller? They don't exist to buy new-ish games for a high price just to turn around and sell it to you for a lower price without trying to make a few bucks from operation first.Shotgunfacelift wrote:Im going to call my local arcade tomorrow and see if they wanna sell it to me.. Shmups here in Australia don't do that good unless its Galaga.
Its got me miffed as to why they have it in the first place?

I'm considering picking up Mushihimesama on PS2. Just wondering, besides graphical differences, how is the PS2 version inferior to the arcade?freddiebamboo wrote:I wouldn't say mushi is a bad port, but it does have those odd looking scaled graphics.
For £15 quid it is one of the best buys on the PS2.
And DOJ is a good port as well

I already did a search, and all the arguments seemed to be towards the fuzzy filtering. I just need clarification on the negative opinion towards this game, as this can't be the only reason?GaijinPunch wrote:Yeah, no joke. Search function -- it works wonders. There's a 20-page Mushi thread here, no?LUNardei wrote:Nooooooooooo not this question again.

The game reinvented the DDP chain system, focusing on skyrocketing the chain rather than slowly build it. ULTRA-technical game if you ask me, and GREAT general design too. I mean, chara-design, level design and graphic.Martinov wrote: I already did a search, and all the arguments seemed to be towards the fuzzy filtering. Obviously someone could not agree with this, but don't listen to Raizing fanboys
Now, said that, who cares about some slowdown issues? Something is a bit slower, something is a bit faster, nothing that ruins the game.
