Seeing as there are versions of mame that have been released with online play, and I know i'm not the only member of this forum who would be enthusiastic about some bomberman multi, wouldn't it be possible for us to organize some matches? Maybe even a shmups.com tourney
My worry is that I can't seem to figure out how to get a 4 player battle going, but perhaps I'm a dumbass. We could also hope a hacked rom has been released.
2 player battle without any cpu's would needless to say be pointless. Maybe there's coop play available though.
I'd love to do this but I tried to play Super BMan 5 on ZBattle.net a few years ago in the office and the firewall didn't seem to allow it. I dunno how a mame battle would work. I need to get DSL and a wireless set up at home. Here's hoping we get an online Bomberman for DS or PSP.
I've not tried MAME for this, but I know Snes emulators have some pretty stable networking support nowadays, and you can get up to 5 people playing Snes bomberman - We did this in an office 5 years ago, so you'd think the networking support is now really good.
think we used snes9x?
That said, it inspired us all to dig up snes pads and get a real snes and some beers in - which was even better.
