You're probably right, but his articles in The Wave aren't as good as the stuff he used to write for his site (although he has written a few awesome ones for The Wave).

Regardless, I'll continue to use my seanbaby.com e-mail address with pride, even if it is 200x smaller than a Gmail box.

I'm that kind of guy that actually has fun playing old shitty games, because they're so un-intentionally bad they provide some entertainment.

With that said, I still pop in Bible Adventures in my NES every now and then. I feel like a dope when they ask those Biblical questions and I get them wrong.

Besides, drowning Baby Moses never gets old.

Ooohh. Heroes of the Lance! How could I forget that? It sucks indeed.

Total Recall.. is that the Amiga game? There's any other system that got a Total Recall game?

Because well, yes, its bad... but not that bad. Arnold Schwarzennegger got worse games on Amiga, like Predator, The Running Man or Terminator 2 (The one from Ocean, not the arcade game)

NES has Total Recall (that's the one he's referring too).

I can't imagine a Running Man game being bad.

yes, rise of the robots is probably the crappiest shit game ever made. i got the snes version a couple of years ago for a laugh and its completley unplayable.

i remember years ago my friend got the amiga version due to all the hype surrounding it and we watched the pretty intro (which came on about ten disks), ant then the title screen with music by brian may, and then - urgh! the worst, most unresponsive shitty beat em up we had ever had the misfortune to play. just horrible

you actually persevere and push on just to see if it is possible to make anything crappier than what you just saw.. and the game deliveres everytime!!

well... the running man:

http://hol.abime.net/1300

Rise of the Robots was incredibly hyped. It was going to be THE game to end all other games if the hype was something to be believed.

And like it has said, it's horrible. I've played the Amiga and Mega-Drive version, and both are horrible.

i plan on it. when saturn was recently dead, a local media play was selling all the stock off for $4-$12 dollars, and virtuall hydlide was among them. i need to see this games framerate in action.

oh and Running Man looks sweet. i still want that movie.
I have no sig whatsoever.

Final Fight Revenge:

The Saturn's final game (well, final "original" game) was completely asstastic. The only import game I've ever bought that I sold a week later (I couldn't take having that blemish in my import collection). Horrid control, lacklustre graphics, and it required the 4-Meg RAM expasion cart for absolutely no reason at all.

Definitely NOT the way the Saturn should have gone out. An arcade port of the first Final Fight (take the Mega CD rev and make it even better) would have been a far more fitting swansong.

You have to give Spy Vs. Spy props for being one of the first competitive split screen games. Split screen on the NES; that rocks my world. The big maze structures were cool, and using the traps to hinder your opponent while stashing your valuables in hidden and protected places - that's a good game play formula.

LoneSage wrote:Harley's Humongous Adventure (SNES) -- With a title like that, I don't feel that I need to explain.
But you do need to explain. This game, overall, is not that bad. Of course I played it when I was twelve, and don't care for it now. But at the time it had that whole "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" type thing going for it (in that you were shrunken down...).

Okay, so now it's not good. I just tried it again, and it's pretty craptasticular (new word, just for this game!).

Nevermind. Resume discussion...

Aha, my vote for worst game of all time (past, present, and future) is a tie between
Kendo Rage (SNES) and
Dash Galaxy in the Alien Asylum.

Seriously, what the flip? DG is the biggest turd of a game I've ever seen. It looks like hot garbage, plays even worse, and the music (if you can even call it that) is absofrigginlutely horrible. And Kendo Rage just has no gameplay whatsoever. Collision detection is screwy, characters are kinda floaty, and game is just ass. All around ass.

I can't believe no one's mentioned Vampire Hunter D for the PS1.

Imagine a PS1 version of Devil May Cry with early RE-style controls, and where hit detection is only a suggestion. Even if you swing at an enemy that's standing RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, there's only a 50/50 chance you'll connect. Also, the level design is possibly the worst I've ever seen in a 3-D game.

The funny thing is, I paid next to nothing for it at Best Buy, and sold it for a ten dollar profit a year-and-a-half later. :D
