time travel SHMUPS

Post by alysa »

Hi there. I was wondering if you guys could help me. I'm looking for any STGs/SHMUPS that deal with time travel in one form or another.

p.s. - I'm glad I finally found an english forum for SHMUPS.

Funny - I read this just as I am trying Gekirindan - a time-travel shmup you can find in Taito Legends 2.

Other than that --- Nemesis 3 obviously comes to mind. 8)

almost forgot - Welcome to the forums. :)

Gradius V has a bit of time travel, more like a worm-hole.

Don't take my word for it, but I think I remember someone on here mention that Radiant Silvergun had time travel elements.

It does, though most of it is in the form of flashbacks and whatnot.

The Bydo are from the 26th century, the products of science gone horribly awry! The first game takes place in the 22nd century, where the Bydo arrived via wormhole.

The one I used to like in the arcade was Time Soldiers, with the rotating stick.

Good thread!

Someone should create the definitive time travel shmup, there clearly ain't enough of those. Nemesis 3 is probably the best one.

-R-Type Final's F-C is a time travel stage.

-The Prehistoric Isle games aren't exactly about time travelling, but interesting time anomaly airplane vs. dinosaurs shooting anyway.

-Xenon 2... didn't it move from primitive time zones with trilobites such to some hi-tech world?
Before Pope John Paul died he decreed that Aliens were also GOD's creatures and we should treat them with respect.

Titan Omega: Revelations has a time travel plot, but it doesn't have anything to do with the gameplay.
