Ikaruga (if you don't have a DC... Hahhahahahha sorry)
I-Ninja
Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door
Mario Sunshine (inferior to 64, but still good)
Skies of Arcadia (see note for Ikaruga)
Metroid Prime 1 & 2
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (if you don't have a PS2)
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (again, if you don't have a PS2 or PC etc)
Smash Bros
Pikmin (I liked it anyways)
Pac Man Versus (I think it comes with Pac Man World 2. I haven't actually played PMW2, but Pac Man vs is... awesomeness)
Soul Calibur 2 (you know the drill)
Summoner: A Goddess Reborn
Lost Kingdoms II
Ikaruga

Actually... A lot of the good games are multi-platform. SA2, Crazy Taxi, Dead to Rights, the ones mentioned above, and many others. Never occured to me how lacking the cube was in awesome exclusives.

Edit: I forgot Viewtiful Joe! *punches self in neck*

My faves are RE4 and Viewtiful Joe. Both available on the PS2 but superior for the Cube. I wouldn't keep it for those only. It also serves as my GBA player. REmix and RE0 were a little too backtrack heavy for my tastes but they ain't bad games at all.

Well, here's my GC library so far:

Zelda Collector's Edition
Sonic Mega Collection

Zelda Wind Waker
Metroid Prime
Paper Mario TYD

Resident Evil 4
Viewtiful Joe
Killer 7

Metal Gear The Twin Snakes
Soul Calibur II
Ikaruga

And the most important, enjoyable of them all, the real killer-app:

Gameboy Player Start-up Disc (my Link's Awakening Player)

That's it. Twilight Princess is coming too, of course. And maybe I'll have a look to a couple others (Pac-Man VS, Pikmin, Monkey Ball...)

This is what I have:

Mega Man X Collection
Timesplitters 2
Mario Kart Double Dash
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2
Viewtiful Joe
Super Mario Sunshine
Zelda Collectors Edition
Zelda Wind Waker
Resident Evil 4
F-Zero GX
What more can I say I wouldn't be here today if the old school didn't pave the way.

Timesplitters 2 is off the chain. You can have fast as hell CTF matches with tons of bots, players, and on screen action. The map editor is a nice addition as well.

Timesplitters 3 suffers from being considerably slower and having a few annoying bugs. Not only that, but the weapon selection is really boring compared to the first one. Plus, you can only have about 6 bots on a custom map (although the map maker is more powerful) and the bots are much less aggressive.

All in all, Timesplitters 2 is a much finer game.

I have:

Luigi's Mansion
Metroid Prime 1 and 2
Rouge Squadron 2

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Pacman Vs. - comes with players choice Pacman Adventure 2, best party game of all time (although the Wii will take the throne), GBA+link cable required

Viewtiful Joe - the revival of 2d gaming

Supermonkey Ball - best on GC hands down

PN03 - love it or hate it kinda game, in the same way Gunvalkyrie is, unorthodox control scheme, point based gameplay, twitch 3d shooting at its finest

Eternal Darkness - story driven survival horror with a chuthulu esq twist

Killer 7 - story driven, total mind____ kinda game, sick and disturbing but oh the art

I'll be picking up a Gamecube soon, just for Metroid Prime. I borrowed my brother's GC a few months ago and played through both Metroids, and I adored the first one. Echoes is only O.K. in comparison.

I'll probably pick up the Resident Evil Anniversary pack too. I already have Ikaruga and Chaos Field. I'm just waiting for the price to drop; since the Wii was just released it shouldn't be too much longer.

Don't dare not pick up RE4. Your brains will fly out from the awesomeness.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I just got Twin Snakes, and I'll also buy Metroid Prime (even though I don't usually play FPS). I'll also have a look at some of the other stuff, like Monkey Ball and Paper Mario.
I already have Eternal Darkness and Zelda Collector's Edition.

So no-one likes Donkey Konga? Some of my non videogame-playing friends had lots of fun with it.

I love it.

I think the second one is the better game, but the first one has the better songs. Get both of them.

At the moment, you can get Conga Controller for around 5 Euros apiece.
4 of those = multiplayer fun

I hate them as a genral rule but I really liked prime alot. It a FPS only by title in my opinion, plays like an action/adventure game.

You can spin and ram in F-Zero GX.
P.N. 03 is definitely one of the worst games I've played in my life, worse than the matrix games.
P.N. 03 is a game which is underrated by a lot of people. You either like it or you don't. But considering you don't like GX for features which you seem to think aren't in the game that actually are.. your taste is definitely questionable.

I recommend Paper Mario, Metroid Prime 1, F-Zero GX, Wind Waker and Ikaruga.

For me, it's got to me Mario Kart Double Dash. That game alone makes it worth owning a GCN, provided you've got additional 3 controllers and buddies for some multi-player racing madness. Resident Evil 4 is another release that rocks. Finally, there Super Monkey Ball 2. I don't know why most seem to list the first one and not the second since the sequel is supposedly better. And even though this series came out for the PS2, the GCN is superior due to better controls (i.e. more precise analag pads of Gamecube).

You can spin and ram in F-Zero GX.
Not only that, but some of the missions in story mode can't be completed without spinning and ramming. Ramming during the main game is encouraged too.

Everyone needs to get over the F-Zero thing, I admitted I was wrong on that. I didn't spend much time with the game 'cause it wasn't enjoyable to me, I liked F-Zero X better.

There have been days where I've had friends over and we've played Monkey Target for over 10 hours, that alone is worth the $30 or whatever it goes for.

Bowling and Billiards are the best minigames.
Although the main games themselves are excellent stuff. Score/Time attacking the main set of stages is great fun, especially with a group of skilled players.

I can't be the only one who doesn't like P.N. 03, seriously people it's really bad.

I don't like FPSs so go buy every one you can find CMoon.

Find me a game site that has actual employees and gives P.N. 03 a good rating.

yes, we know..... b/c u couldn't spin attack.

i think everyones ragging on it b/c they think it's harsh to make a judgement after not even learning the basic controls...

Alot of reviewers in magazines do that, I have read reviews that were flat out wrong. I read a review for Contra SS in a magazine and the guy bitched about it being to short... then as I read on I realized that he thought you only had 4 stages to choose from.

If it's within anybody's convenience, could somebody specify what games on these best lists support GC 480p? I just found out Wii Component Cables will do the upscale on GC games that supported the 480p option.

Many thanks. I run a projector. Composite & 480i on projector makes puppies weep and babies cry.

Find me a game site that has actual employess that like shmups. Anyway, P.N. 03 isn't an FPS to begin with.

Well, opinions are bound to vary, I was just commenting more on how ours seem to vary by about 180 degrees. Predictably.

And for what its worth, I can't stand FPS games...
