Defender now on Xbox LIVE!

Post by Danny »

As you can proberbly just tell be the title, since Wensday Defender can now be purchased VIA Xbox LIVE! for 400 points which seems like the standard fare for old Midway games these days.

I've not had the chance to go out and buy it yet but this now brings the shmups total to 3 on the Xbox LIVE! arcade market place. (The other two being Time Pilot and Scramble)

Anyway I'll proberbly end up bying the game again anyway because I do actualy really like the game and I wish to support companies brining home the classics so to speak heh! :D

Sorry, but it's nigh-on impossible to get excited about this.

It has been in MAME for, what, 7 years now? And the xBox edition is just as emulated (or perhaps even ported?), should that be a sore issue.

And I sincerely doubt Eugene Jarvis will get royalties from this.

Sorry to be a downer.

Well I guess it IS a little bit more than what you get with Mame.

Sounds good, but I'd like to see Defender 2000 from the Jaguar brought over as well. Hopefully Midway and Llamasoft can get together to strike a deal on this.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

Hmm, shooter-wise I think they did a better remake job on the 360 Konami remakes (Time Pilot and Scramble) than the Midway ones (Robotron and Defender)
