Joker Jun is a mammal and an artist. The purpose of Joker Jun is to flip out and make great shooter art! Joker Jun is awesome, and by awesome I mean totally sweet!

After I bought my Storm of Progear PCB and plugged it into my JAMMA rig, a bolt of lighting shot through my RGB monitor into my fist and I felt like I could fly through the air and knock off someone's head without even thinking twice!

One time I was on a date with my girlfriend at a pizza parlor and I got a high score playing Batsugan. After I entered my initials, Joker Jun and a team of Cave and former Toaplan devs crashed through the wall and started wailing on guitars (they were dressed up like the characters from Batsugan wearing these totally sweet sunglasses)! They stole my girlfriend's attention as they played, I almost pissed myself (but in a totally relaxed yet cool and respectful way)

One time I heard this kid in Japan was making fun of Cave's games as he played Pokemon Dash. All of a sudden Joker Jun came (again, dressed up like one of the characters from Batsugan wearing these totally sweet sunglasses) and totally uppercutted the kid so fast with insanely sweet stealthness his DS flew though the air with such force it broke into dust!

Then after laughing at the kid, Jun wailed on his guitar and using a special development kit cable (top secret Cave equipment cable molded during Ninja meditation while he drew EsPRaDe's characters) he hooked a PSP into his amp (a completely wicked amp, and by wicked I mean a completely insane amp supposedly once used by Jimmy Page when on tour in Japan in the 70s) and wailed on his guitar so hard, the development kit cable shot a bolt of SHEER ENERGY of Ninjitsu enthusiasm which caused a perfect port of Progear to be downloaded into the PSP!!!!

Then after this, he jumped on the kid's skateboard (thrashing his head and wailing on a guitar as he did a 360 off the back of some old fuddy duddy Japanese businessman), and then jumped off the board with such quickness that his guitar morphed into a kitana which he used to carve a perfect etching of all his characters into a wall nearby! If I was there I would have gone totally insane and crapped my pants!

The only other artist that is almost as wickedly crazy is Battle Garegga artist Yuji Kaida (and by artist, I mean complete old scool and insanely sweet concept person who could be a ninja in spirit)

I heard one time some old lady was cutting up a squid and Kaida was so mad he killed the whole town!!!!

Iceman is the baddest mother ever. He's one of my user pics in my LiveJournal. Everything Joker Jun did kicked ass.

This new guy, his art style doesn't do it for me. All the people are scrawny, it just doesn't have that intangible Joker Jun charm.

*takes a bow*

But don't thank me...

...thank....

...the knife!

(major props to whoever can get that one)

EDIT: And I should add in all seriousness, Joker Jun really is my favorite shmup artist. His well detailed yet charming characters strike a neat balance between manga style art and a nice uniqueness all their own.
