The R-Type series

Is anyone here kinda disappointed with Irem finishing off the R-Type series with Final? Because I am.

I was happy w/ Final, though I havne't yet had the opportunity to play Delta, so that may have something to do w/ it.

Final reminds me of when Metallica went all Nu Metal to its fans -- not as good as the old works.

Final has it's good moments, and it's bad moments. I, for one, enjoyed the game, despite the major slowdown in stage 3, I think it was. Other than that, graphics, sound, BGM, weapons, bosses and backgrounds were all cool IMO. I can never get used to the last stage. It's freakin' amazing.

R-Type: The game whos signature boss is a replica of the creature from Aliens.

BTW: Was there any law suits over that?

And I prefer Delta over Final by a long shot.

R-type Final sucked so bad I pretend the series ended with Delta. It was a perfect game with a perfect ending. The last stage is one of my all time favourites too.

But I'm happy to know that Gradius isn't over. In fact the series is more lively than it's ever been.

You have to give credit to Final for having 100 ships to unlock. I didnt like the music in Final compared to Delta but the awesome gameplay was still intact. The strangest level in Final was the imaculate love making couple in the background of a later level.
