Anyways, I am playing Sexy Parodius and Gigawing a lot, of late. I am also a fan of ABA games stuff, but then again who isn't.

Nice board you guys have going on here. Glad to now be a part of it.
I did tell him to say that. :P

I'm playing Strikers/Strikers II like mad right now. I have head-butted my computer screen, I shit you not. It's an old heavy kind, not the flatscreens, so it can handle it.

I just stuck my toe in the freezing pool that is Battle Garegga.

I think I'll just wade in a little bit before diving in.

I just bought a XE-1 ST2, a very cool joystick btw. I decided to break it in by
playing some Fire Shark on the Genesis.

Still loving Dragon Blaze. The thing I dislike the most is the random stage nonsense. I don't mind it in Strikers, but at this point it's feeling like a cheap way of making the game more difficult.

Working on 1cc's for Mars Matrix and ESPGALUDA currently. I'm making noticeable progress in Mars Matrix (I'll be making it to chapter 5 consistantly within the week for sure, and I'm pretty strong in Chapter 5, but the Bosses of Chapter 6 rape me, so 1cc is a ways off), and I haven't played a lot of ESPGALUDA. I'm happy when I make it to Chapter 4 T_T

Lately I have been playing Last Resort and Gleylancer the most. I dabble a little in Andro Dunos when I tire of Last Resort.

I also borrowed Battle Garegga but haven't played it too much as it requires turning the television. I should play it some more as I'm going to have to return it before long.

over the last few days i've been popping in a little gradius, souky (OMG the love, among best on saturn easy), mushi, and espgaluda arrange.

trying to psyche myself up for ibara, but the punishment is making it difficult. way harder than garegga so far.

loving galuda arrange, i really liked it before, but i am finally starting to understand "playing properly."

in general, if i may, i'm enjoying the games a lot more. i haven't played a whole lot at all in a few months, and i feel refreshed upon return. it seems a lot easier to see things from a new perspective, so to speak.
I have no sig whatsoever.

Hi all, new here. I was referred by the guys at dreamcasthistory.com. This is great f'n site you got here btw...

Saturn

Soukyugurentai

I'm very close to 1 crediting it on default diff. It could be argued very easily that this is the best shooter on the Saturn imo.

peace,
Brandon

Remember to suicide a couple times to lower the rank or you'll be hard pressed to 1CC it. I'm telling you from experience because I've gotten to the last level without dying and I get literally raped. Each of the times I 1CC'ed it I got to the last level with 2 or three lifes max.

Do you mean the games I was refering to? Try this site. I can wholly recommend any of the shmups he has created. Especially Noiz2sa, rRootage, and Parsec47. There are at least semi-active highscore boards for most of his games in the highscore section.

That's something I had thought of but haven't implemented yet...I'll let you know if that trick works for me. Might just have to give it a whirl before lights out...

Radiant Silvergun: Finally attempting to find the doggies. :)

Gradius Collection: Splitting my time between getting a better score in Gaiden (so far can get to the Crystal Core boss on one credit, obviously can do better 'n that) and practicing Gradius I which I want to 1CC someday.

Currently alternating between my three Cave PCBs: Mushi, Galuda 2, and Ibara. I'd like to improve my Ibara and Mushi Original mode scores soon.

Playing rRootage on PSP from time to time it's great but sadly one can't (or I don't know how to) TATE it. Did you try Torus Trooper? I ran it once but immediately quited because my eyes began to hurt :D

I'm not playing any shooter. Need to take a shooter break.

In fact I'm not even playing anything at all.

Seconded. Taking a week off to recuperate. By the end of Cave Week I wanted to break stuff in frustration at losing my chain for the umpteenth time at the end of stage4. Busy exploring caves in Doukutsu Monogatari, cleaning my garden in Animal Crossing DS, and blowing shit up in Metroid Prime.

Will return to Garegga, Guwange, Batrider and Shikigami 3 soon.

I feel like playing a half dozen different things and end up playing nothing. Today I've been thinking about giving Guwange another shot (not sure, I might become sick as soon as I see the first stage). I also want to play Under Defeat, but also feel like playing something Mega Drive, which would be its own break from all of these arcade shooters.

I played some Guwange today, but couldn't really focus on the game and felt kinda burnt out. Guess I am taking a break too. Played some Tekken 5 with a friend and tried some Tetris on Game Boy.

I have also been thinking if we should maybe have only 5 playing weeks next year. People where losing iterest in the end. And also with 5 weeks, I could simply compare which player/team had won more weeks as a tiebreaker.

But that really doesn't belong in this thread.

I only play his stuff on the PC. I have played Torus Trooper and used to play it a lot, but it lacks depth. The best strategy to dodge anything is to just flick the left and right keys. I never got motion-sickness or had my eyes hurt while playing it, unlike all of my friends.

I'm currently getting my ass handed to me by Gradius III on the PS2.

Fortunately, I'm waiting on a girl to come over, so I'm not too depressed. 8)

The same night I posted this, I somehow made it to the 5-1 boss in ESPGALUDA. I've only made it to chapter 5 that once though... It was pretty freakish. At least I'm making it to chapter 4 more consistantly.
