'Should do some duty, huh.
I vote Guwange

@Super Laydock
Thanks and you're welcome.

@Rest of Drink & Fly minus malcolm
Erm..feel like takin' a break from drinkin' and cast a vote? I don't feel like dealin' with a tie. I would not prefer a tie if given a choice.

@everybody else

See this? Read it carefully:
The Tiebreaker Clause:
The poll is scheduled to end at 23:59pm Sunday GMT. It officially ends when I or Edge post saying the poll is over. In the event at the time of the deadline that I detect a tie between the two leading candidates OR a candidate is leading by a single vote, I will extend the voting period by two hours to leave enough time for people who have not voted yet to cast and widen the gap between the two leading game picks. Note that this is not a runoff between the two top choices. If, in-fact other game picks have close numbers with the top two choices, as long as the lesser game picks can overtake the top game choice by two votes in two hours, they too have the same chance of winning the entire poll.
After this second voting deadline has been reached, if there is still a tie or a single vote difference between the two leading game picks at the time, another two-hour extension on the voting deadline will occur.
However,
1. This time, members in teams with players that still haven't voted may cast the vote(s) on behalf of the players who didn't vote. Players who utilize this must specify the absent player he is casting the vote for in the same post as what he decided his additional vote will be.
2. This time period WILL become a run-off between ONLY the top two choices upon initiation of the second two-hour extension.
After the third and final voting deadline has been met, if there is still a voting lead of a single vote, the chosen game still wins. If there is still a tie, Edge gets to pick the winner between the two games in question.
I'll field questions. You guys may wanna pm your team buddies. This could get bad right-quick.

Remember, a game must win by TWO VOTES to not trigger a tiebreaker.

I hope you're right, because if msm is right then Guwange will be the game for next week. (with DJI's vote it would win by 2 votes if nobody post another vote in the next half hour). :(

Don't think the whole of namakoteam voted yet either.

DEL's off on a business trip and won't be back until very late next week.
Smraedis is tied up with things at the moment, is very busy, and may not compete this week depending.

LOL. guwangeGET!!

Damn, the voting is just as exciting as the playing. Kept taking a break from my film every ten minutes to make a cuppa/snack and check the vote counts. ( ̄▽ ̄)

Now I have to re-TATE my monitor again in preparation for this week.

3 cheers for Professor Ganson!
If Rob's vote count is correct then the Prof's vote sacrifice for Guwange was crucial.

I wanted to vote for the best game-- that's why I started the other thread about the best Cave game. I trust Rob, Icarus, and yourself. Someday I must play this!

I recounted:

Guwange - 22
Progear - 19

I think I counted a Landshark vote twice the first time (two of his posts looked like votes ;)).

Thanks for the words of confidence. I'll be recording every run I make this week, hopefully I can put together a nice replay of a decent score for your viewing.

edit, further ruling next pages

(for historical reference, this is the part where I said the lead votes were off by one, called a tie, and extended the vote time)

Awesome, MrMonkeyMan's edit disqualified his vote and forced a tie.

I'm preparing the slappings.

It wasn't even a vote edit, as a few posts later GP quoted him.
Frick. Smraedis, DEL, where are you??

I might have miscounted, but the tallies so far are:
Guwange - 23
Progear - 19
Were two Guwange votes disqualified?

Progear definitely has 19 votes, possibly DJI may have double counted for Landshark and Twe.

I saw MMM's post before the edit, there was nothing fishy about it. Is it my vote that's also disqualified? There was nothing fishy about my edit either.

This is silly - Guwange has clearly won the vote, yet somehow we have a tie?!

I'm taking this shit all the way to the Supreme Court and we won't be playing this week for at least 3 months while the case is heard.

Sorry.

Yeah, um, MMM never changed his vote. I recall a post saying a changed vote is disqualified and an edited post is valid if people who can verify the pre-edit vote, which I can. Believe me I've been following this too closely.

Hey DJ, you didn't count my vote for Guwange. I'm not listed in your list of votes for Guwange, but I most definitely voted for it.
