LOL. Two and a half days worth of voting to go.

funny and very true. great things will not happen if this game is chosen for the final week. Hopefully now the Old Schoolers have shot their load we'll see a return to sanity.

While ESP Ra.De. is winning the unofficial vote. Odd.
Yeah, I may not know a lot of the back end of this forum software, but I'm kinda...sorta..thinkin' somebody knows how to hijack the public polls. That shot from 1 to 10 veeery quick.

I was about to hit the poll annoucement. Thanks, man.

I hope DonPachi gets picked - it's the seed from which all other Cave games grew.

I think Tiger Heli was the seed.

Twin Cobra the fruit.

DonPachi the bud that never quite opened.

DoDonPachi the first beautiful flower.

Pssh, I seriously hope DonPachi doesn't win. As it's been said before, it doesn't really feel like Cave.

I vote for Guwange.

Dangun Feveron, people. Seriously.

P.S. DonPachi sucks.

P.P.S. The new logo looks like one of those color blindness tests.

I would, if it's open to people not in STGT.

howmuchkeefe wrote:I probably would have ended up voting for DonPachi anyway: Turrican did better than I did at Dragon Blaze, so I'm thinking it follows that my team'd be better off playing DonPachi than it'd be playing Guwange... and I feel like I owe it to The Coop, who's done a lot for the team so far.
Such team-bonding spirit warms my heart. However, to be honest I suck at chaining, I doubt my DP exploits would be as good. But, it must also be said that the contest week was my first DB experience at all, so all in all at least I'm a quick learner.

By the way, I take the chance to thanks again the team for sharing all their strategies via pm - they were quite useful last time, if I didn't reply at each one it was because, well, there was not much to add. ^_^

Not only fully agreeable, but truly poetic to boot. Be gay more often, the forum will appreciate.

Yeah... I'm not quite sure why I said I hoped DP would make the poll. Malice? ESP Ra.De. is also lame lame lame. Always thought that, but it seems to be out of contention already.

We're waiting to see what the vote tallies are like during the weekend before we decide.

Two, actually. And Progear isn't that bad, just awkward to play. Bullet-hell games are a lot harder in a hori setting. That and the f'ing retarded second-loop restart system gets on my nerves.

Tell me about it. This is like the second time we Canadians have coordinated our vote, and even this is just by chance :P

Anyway, I love Cave so the outcome doesn't really matter to me in the end; they're all winners!*

I'm sorry but that delivery comes at a cost of 1 Guwange vote.

I imagine that at least some are voting for it because it's the only one of the bunch that has a home port, and a sizeable number of participants can't/won't emulate.

Doesn't make me hope for something else to get picked any less, but... :P

alright I'm towing the party line. Donpachi gets my vote. Even though I'll be playing on MAME anyway.

Before the next compo comes along I should really get with the times and buy some shmups that came out after Soldier Blade.
