Thread necromancy!

-Stage 7 + 10m Gain on Battle Garegga
-AIRRADE -AIR- Misuzu ALL (target: 1bil-1.5bil+)
-2 Loops ALL on Raiden Fighters US (emulator)
-100+M (counter reset) on Raiden Fighters Asia (cab)

I probably won't be achieving the last one this year.

Necromancy! OH NOES!!!

Probably...I've got nothing specific.

-Scrounge up enough diligence to concentrate on one shmup for more than an hour.
-1CC something (Yes, I know.)
-Compete in the next comp on this forum (because I know I can achieve this one).

Done.

I'd still like to:
-Mars Matrix - 4 trillion points / 7-9m exp
-see how far I can get into Under Defeat (ALL???) when I get it
-MASTER GUWANGE.

Well, one anyways. Which undoubtedly I'll be able to accomplish within a week and a half!

Now everyone please vote Guwange.

Icarus (or anyone): Is Shiki 3 harder than Shiki 2? If so, by a lot?

By stage 4-1 the screen is filled with bullets with very tiny channels to move in. Stage 5-1 and 5-2 are by far the hardest stages ever seen in a Shikigami game, and the multi-part boss of the complete stage5 is a throwback to the final boss of the first Shikigami, only jacked up in difficulty 8x (joke intended).

Shikigami 3 emphasises the use of your hitbox more than the previous games.

Damn, Shiki 2 is near perfect in difficulty level for me. Challenging without being terribly frustrating. And likely 1CCable.

It is possible to 1CC Shikigami 3, but the last portion of the game - from stage4-2 boss to the end - is very controlled, and needs pixel-perfect play. It's probably easier with a different character as Kuga's Shikigami (as you probably know) is both indirect and short-ranged (attacks one target at a time), which always makes later stages harder.

1cc of Mars Matrix and ESPGALUDA, though... at this point I may not get either by the end of this year, seeing as it's relatively close. I COULD do both, but... WILL I? =)

First of all hi everyone, crawled through this forum for more than a year and finally have the guts to join here :)

My goals: Find a game I really enjoy and 1cc it. I don't want to play for score before I master a game, but often it`s easier if you do (eg. Progear).
Mushihimesama which I just got could be a candidate. I like DOJ better but it's a little too hard for me from stage 4 on.

Welcome to the forums. Here you will find all you have ever dreamed of. We have highscores, tournaments, friendly chatter, arguements, belittling, fighting, random fits of anger, tacos, banannas, and "The port ever!" :D

Ok, a more defined goal...I think.

I want to find a game that I can keep increasing my highscore on. Most of the time I play a game, place my highscore in the correct thread (usually at second to last place) and then move on.

Try and make it past stage 5 of Garegga on one life. (I hate those damn planes at the start of the stage.)

I have a bad habit of completely screwing up once I lose a life. This is where I keep losing my credit on all the time.

EDIT: How the HELL do you post after me at crazy speed all the time?

You're supposed to lose lives in Battle Garegga (particularly in certain places where bombing will give you more than you've lost or just as much, e.g. the birds in stage 2 or the medal rails in stage 3), also to keep rank from being a jerkoff.

Ideally you should be only carrying 2-3 in reserve at a time, 1-2 if you're confident.

I'm not getting how you get extends at all, I always have only 2 and never get anymore than that. and yes extends are on. Hell, I don't get how you get extends in any of the Raizing games.

1) Your settings are probably wrong then. The version played on this forum is the original Japanese version with Extends set to Every 1mil.

2) You're probably not scoring enough points to make Extends, in which case you should be looking for more scoring targets.

It was that the Region was USA and was at every 2mil. that explains it. :P
