I'm actually not that far from you, I think...though actually attending a shmeet would only serve to further embarass myself, heh heh.

Heh, well, if anything more concrete ever gets organized I'd consider it, I'd just have to bring a bag to wear over my head. I think you're roughly an hour's drive off from me.

As for stuff I could bring, check my post in the "Post Your Collections Here" topic (I'm someplace on the first page), I could probably cart along a few of those if anyone wanted.

it takes me about 4 hours to get to baltimore, so i think you're right.

i'd like to set something up for november, it would involve a shmupmeet at my place then a visit to jeffs basement arcade. he fixes up retro games and has like 30 set up in his basement, some shooters down there too =]

Okay, lessee...that Saturday morning I have to be in Newark by 7 AM (arghh...) for a test, but after that I can't think of anywhere else I'd need to be. On Sunday I'm busy till about noon, but the rest of the day I should be free, though of course how long I can stay also depends on how much homework I've got that weekend.

Basically, afternoon onward for either day should (hopefully) be okay.

i spoke with jeff and i've confirmed that we can chill in his arcade, so it's going to be a jammed packed day of arcade games and shmupping.

i'm going to say a meeting time around noon will be good. bring snacks, drinks, etc as you see fit. i'll be getting pizza and/or subs with drinks and chips and any help/supplements will be appreciated.

i'm cool with the 18th @ noon.

i'll tenetively say we'll roll over to jeffs around 1-2 to tear up the arcade for however long, then go roll out to catch dinner at a fridays like place, probably over in the paramus area. come back and have some scoring runs through a couple boards we've collectively chosen.

i'm thinking i'll put the 2nd cab in vertical and run just verts, unless someone really wants to play progear or salamander (or if someone is bringing some horizontal pcbs, which isnt the case as of yet)

expect late night gaming. i have a futon and 2 air mattresses for those in need of such things. my apartment isn't huge mind you, but you are welcome to crash and live amongst the games called my living room.

i can also help find you a hotel in the area, no idea about prices tho.

Once I figure out who's coming with me I'll let you know and get your info. If we decide to stay overnight I could probably get some cheap prices 'cause I'm a travel agent. I don't have any PCB's but I do have some MVS stuff and console stuff.

I'll probably just hang for the day and head back sometime that night (got to be out sometime the next morning), but thanks for the offer. :) So we're mainly playing arcade stuff it sounds like, no reason to bring any console stuff?

I work for an airline so it would be easy for me to fly to this area since I'm in NC...
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

Nice story, is there a list anywhere of the games he has, or are they on that page and I somehow missed 'em?
