Thought I'd start posting early this week. I'm enjoying this game up to now. I don't think I'll have enough time to remember where everything is and stay alive at the same time in a week.

Leeram - Underdogs - 744,920 - 3 - Mame

Cheers

The detailed background graphics are pretty nice, eh?

And that's the spirit, team. 4 players of us joining so early. :)

Why are people writing MAME next to their scores? Do some people have the PCB? I'm assuming this has no console release.

Sorry, team. I won't even be able to contribute a lame score, as I don't have a computer suited for gaming/maming. I think crithit5000 is also out for technical reasons. Perhaps superkillerxxx will contribute; otherwise our team score will take a serious blow.

Icarus can you post a score so i can be motivated to play this game Image

my will to play a game i enjoy in this tournament is inversely proportional to how high my name is on the chart

Well, I'm in stage6, if thats any indication.
I'll have something more substantial soon, as I wasn't capturing my current record play. I'd prefer to have something to back up my score. ^_-

I can't stand the bootup time and I'm not consistent enough to tolerate it to successfully capture a WolfMAME inp, much like landshark. I have like one half-decent run per four or five.

I am pretty consistent in RF, but it's a game I've been playing for months.

Same here. I usually start capturing once I get some consistency, but wasn't on this one as I was just practicing. And ended up lucking my way to just before the last boss. Its a tricky game this if you're not used to classic Toaplan, as it plays very much similar to their output.

It also plays a bit like Raiden DX with bullet and enemy patterns, just only by a bit.

I think DEL might be able to do something with this game, as he's quite the Toaplanner. The only game of theirs I've ever had any real skill at is Tatsujin Ou!, and even then it gives me a run for my money. Batsugun eats me for breakfast. ;_;

Died just before the last guy with 2 or 3 bombs. Died AT the last guy with 2 bombs :( At least, I think this is the last guy - sure looked like a "last guy."

This game has great music.

Mild improvement, probably not worth posting:

My favorite weapon.
Because it makes the game feel more like Zero Gunner 2, I'll bet.

EDIT
Nevermind, this totally was worth posting. On my 420th post, I beat The Coop by 420 points. And I'm sure at least one board member is high right now.

You're right. I hate losing that weapon. I wish the game just had ship types.

What causes the "Perfect!" bonus? It's obviously not getting 100% of the medals because I've done that and not triggered it. It's not a percentage thing either as I've had 93% 2K and not gotten it. Is it a combination? Like 100% medals with 80% 2K?

Is there something that causes a speedup in this? There are times when it seems like my ship suddenly speeds up. Or is this an illusion caused by the slowdown?

>~90% full golds and no missed medals

or:

>~50% golds and no missed medals as well as getting through the stage without dying

Also, 25% of your points come from the max power pickup bonus.

The rank system is pretty silly, by the way.

If you fail to reveal a medal, it won't count as a miss in the enbonus screen, but it won't give you the perfect bonus either. :x
