If TATE is not supported it makes you wonder how accurate the emulation actually is.

For me personally, Galaga 88 in TATE would have been a Namco 50th anniversary buy for me even though I have all the other games. Due to its exemption from the package, Namco lost 1 sale from me.

TATE is not as important as having handlebars for paperboy or a spinner controller for arkanoid.. But its still important. Especially as in TATE mode the sprites don't have to be scaled down and small sprites get even smaller that you can't even see them.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

Pal/ntsc?

I live in the US- I take it a PAL ps2 game wouldn't work on my tv out here, right? (silly q- I've been spoiled by my xbox :P) . I have been dying to play Taito Memories /Legends 2. Is it worth my time tracking down the Jap release instead?

I live in the US and my copy for the PC came today. My only gripw is how the sprites get slightly messed up do the screen resolution. If you enable blurring you loose that crisp shmup look and if you don't blurr the pixels change sizes depending on the sprite's position. Overall a nice selection of shmups. I must say though that I hate how hard they make the games just so people would feed coins into them. Basically you have infinate lives which kills the fun factor, if you choose to use limited continues the games are VERY hard to play and become frusterating. I would reccomend you buy the PC version on ebay if you want a solid collection of games for a decent price.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

Grab the ROMs from the TL2 folder, and drop them in MAME. They run just fine on MAME32, though you won't be able to do any dipswitch changes. Then you can have non-blurred, crisp graphics that don't get wonky on you due to an odd percentaged scale up.

I wonder if the PSP will get any more Taito compilations. AFIK, there's only been one released for it.
