Don't ask me, I'm biased towards all Raizing games. ^_-
(It's fucking awesome, by the way.)

Its Capcom ZN-1 I believe, but most of the time when you buy the board it comes with the mobo. Make sure you check before you buy (should be a double board, one a little bigger than Cave's current boards, and a smaller board plugged in on top).

It's great but playing the game in Zinc doesn't gives you the background music. :(

Most likely it's not emulated yet.

also quick addition. nothing is cooler than hitting enemies with a sword in a vert. well except for hitting medals with a sword. ^_^

also, not that you asked necessarily, but if you are looking for a melee intensive shooter of a different variety, Cybattler is definitely worth a look.

I vote yay.

If you want to try it out, it works fine in mame 106. The game plays much slower in the newer versions of mame for some reason.

I really enjoyed playing this game. You can play just for survival and the game is still a challenge to 1cc. The characters are also remarkably different which adds to the replay value of the game. This is especially true when fighting the bosses. If you want to play for score, juggling all the medals while dodging lots of bullets is great fun. I think you will really love the pcb if you buy it.

does it work perfectly in mame? last time i tried the sound was definitely dodgy.

i bought this game a little while ago and so far i'm not liking it much. the game encourages you to use the melee attack at the expense of shooting, as the melee attack is the only way to score well and it's actually much safer to be whacking things up close as you have a shield in melee attack mode. this is an absolutely braindead mechanic which turns the usual risk/reward balance on it's head. the level design is quite unthrilling and the audiovisual side of the game is quite crap. i've not played it a great deal yet but so far this game unimpresses me.

I don't tend to put too much time into a game if it doesn't grab me... This went in and out of the cab within a few hours. It looks rubbish (as almost all the games on the Sony platform do)... I keep hearing good things about it though so one day it might go back in.

I don't know if the others agree but I would buy BG/BB/APB/Dimahoo/etc first.

its a great game and the board can be had for cheap - go for it.

yeah the graphics are PSX style choppy 3D but the game flows very well and the gameplay is flawless.. not my fave raizing game but i like it more than the mahous...

You won't appreciate Brave Blade until you understand it.

I have a lot of fun with it.

Good Game.
