Check out this Guy's Ikaruga and Gradius mixes, they're pretty impressive. The Ikaruga one is a bit strange at points, but it's a good "orchestral" variant to a few of the game's songs. Now all we need is a "rawk out!" version of Ideal, then I'd be set.
The Gradius one (Challenger 2006) is actually very good, despite the fact the orchestra style is overused on this song. it's dare I say better than that crap Treasure tried to pull with the song. (I do think they butchered Challenger, I really do.)
the gradius remix is awesome. It has an orchestral thing to it. Would be sweet to hear a big orchestra play that, like one did with several zelda songs.
Holy shit, good find! Not only are the shmup mixes awesome, but everything else is amazing as well. I'm listening to his Tales of Symphonia mixes (getting pumped up for tomorrow's release of Tales of the Abyss), and it's this awesome symphonic metal music.
