In any case, the fact is that if there was a lack of attention to this game before, there sure isn't now.

There's very likely truth to that. However, if that were entirely the case, Mega Man Anniversary Collection wouldn't have done as well as it did and even non-hardcore sidescroller fans bought into it. And it doesn't explain why people would be interested in Trizeal, which will be as easy to download when it arrives, and not Dragon Blaze.Neon wrote:It's because people will just mame it. People would rather download it than buy it. Sad really.
Same thing will happen to Trizeal, only even moreso because it's on Dreamcast.
just for the record-PsikyoPshumpPshooterP wrote:dude what do you know..your avatar is shedder...and the only reason i compared these two games is because thier release dates are about the same time and its so funny how Trizeal get so much damn exposure just because its on a dying system..say what you want..But i havent played trizeal and i played DB before..and i can bet if I like Trizeal better then DB, then im dust from this forum..Ill be goneStormowl wrote:chill out a little guys. i think you are overreacting a little regarding the DC vs. anything else stuff and "attention" it gets compared to other stuff. there is a heck of a lot more spam around here, but counter act it by posting intelligent stuff. or just stick to the high score/strategy threads.
i'm probably excited as anyone that dragonblaze is making it to PS2. unfortunately you'll probably never see me in the high score thread because it rapes me so viciously.
as for DB vs. Trizeal, Chaos Feild or whatever...well i guess your just taking up space. you might as well compare an omega to a timex.
Exactly. It is hard to pay $60 for something that includes Sol Divide. (I already got that for $5!)BulletMagnet wrote:I tend to think that any lack of attention that Dragon Blaze's release has gotten stems subliminally from the fact that anyone who buys it is going to end up getting Sol Divide with it, and prefers not to think about it.![]()
Why would Trizeal be worth $60 and Dragon Blaze not? I think this is what got this whole thread going the way it was. If it was a top tier cave game, people would be lining up, and it seems any new release on the DC gets the same results; but one of Psikyo's very best, never before on a console and everyone starts checking their wallet.professor ganson wrote:
So I ask those of you who have played Dragon Blaze: Is it alone worth the price tag?

On a related note, apparently in some markets the TMNT arcade game was sold as "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles". Possibly because ninjas were cool in the USA but had negative connotations in Europe or something.Heroes eh? Weird how things you always thought were clear you mis-heard.
This is true. Affected the whole franchise, even the theme song for the cartoon was edited.dboeren wrote:On a related note, apparently in some markets the TMNT arcade game was sold as "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles". I ask the question because of my ignorance about Dragon Blaze. The game just hasn't been discussed at all frequently since I've been on the forum, so I just don't know much about it. But I am now convinced that I ought to get it. I just need to figure out whether I need it more than I need to fill other serious gaps in my collection: DDP DOJ, ZG2, Border Down...CMoon wrote:Why would Trizeal be worth $60 and Dragon Blaze not? I never see anyone questioning ESPgaluda being $60, why question dragon blaze?
I figure it is on par with those things. GET THEM ALL!professor ganson wrote: I ask the question because of my ignorance about Dragon Blaze. Yeah, you're right. So even though I really shouldn't be spending the money, I preordered DB. I hope there are a lot of dragons in it-- this would really please my 6-year-old.Neon wrote:Yeh, you're gonna have to get them all eventually. But a DB preorder will help support the dev, so better choice at the moment.
Indeed. I've now moved the off-topic TMNT discussion into a separate thread on OT to keep this about the Dragon Blaze & Sol Divide release.Rob wrote:This train sure got derailed. Dragon Blaze, people.

No, not every game needs an elaborate scoring system (I think Dragon Blaze's passes as "decent" with its tech bonuses and constant availability of extra scoring in coins). Dragon Blaze is just a super refined Psikyo game with quality 2D graphics and unique dragon riding gimmick. I'm not sure if you've played any other Psikyo games, but I can't imagine what you'd think of Sengoku Ace, Strikers 1945 or Gunbird if you think Dragon Blaze is "blah."twe wrote:Anyone else feel this way about DB?
