It's drifting bullets you want? Oh you are gonna wet your pants in stage 5 and 6 (especially 6). Oh how I hate this stage. There are SO many points available in it, but it's so god damned hard to get them because there are 50-75 bullets on the screen at all times, some of them aimed, most of them spam.BulletMagnet wrote: I still prefer those to the "Hello, you're dead if you haven't memorized the safe spot for this pattern!" bullets that are Psikyo's trademark. A few here or there I can deal with, but a game full of them...
And for some reason, I have a hard time seeing pink bullets on some of the backgrounds.
Dirty game. Everyone that voted for this game better play it.
I wish there was a way to have a weighted vote where your vote was weighed by how many of the comps you played in or with ALL voting (silent) done prior to all competitions and the results of the votes not revealed until the week of the comp.
I'm just cranky from playing 3 or so hours of this dumb game.

Heh, I actually credit-fed through the game, and it does get freakin' ridiculous...you must need a brain like a camcorder to survive in there, let alone score. But it's the same for any Psikyo game, really.landshark wrote:It's drifting bullets you want? Oh you are gonna wet your pants in stage 5 and 6 (especially 6).

Another 3 credits (i.e. five minutes) and i'll go mad
On the more technical side: i get some frameskipping, is the game emulated on a less hardware-abusing emulator than MAME?

Gotta love the international indiscriminate hatred. I know I do.
Talk about a negative return on time investment
Yeah, I'd think the spammers woulda found that one out by now if that ability were left unlocked. Can mods even allow such ability as to only allow certain members to mass message a group of 5-7 specific people? That would take sooo long to set up if it even could be done...for a purpose lasting 5 weeks no less.Turrican wrote:is it possible to send a private message to a group of usernames (my teammates for example), instead of doing copy-and-paste six times? thanks.

Re: DB
I punched my control panel so hard last night that my speakers stopped working. I also kicked the coin door a few times and caused it to trigger the "insert credit" switch =)DEL wrote: Even a diehard Psikyo Player like Landshark got cranky with DB;

This game is pure evil. There is a rule with this game, I **must** die in level 2. Every game has it. I don't know why, I find some lonely drifting bullet and strafe right into it.
Evil. Pure evil. I have big trouble with the minibosses of level 6. I have to bomb on each of them. I've finally started getting the hang of coining the larger enemies of 6. But good fucking lord the level 6 boss is hopeless. Especially the 2nd form.
Evil.
Evil.
Evil.

Would you have preferred Gunbird?
*laughs maniacally*
I'm loving this game for two reasons. One, because I'm finding it a lot more fun than the rest of Psikyo's boring back catalogue. Two, because its driving everyone nuts. ^_^

I can imagine watching the insanity to be fun. Unfortunately I'm part of it.

I bet Icarus is secretly taking Prozac to endure the Dragon Blaze experience

No, I've been playing Star Force.Randorama wrote:I bet Icarus is secretly taking Prozac to endure the Dragon Blaze experience
If you can endure that, you can handle anything.
Besides, I enjoy playing Brave Blade, a game that is played in a similar way.
(Although Brave Blade is so much better than Dragon Blaze.)

@Icarus: Don't worry if you start to realize that DB is a masterpiece and deserves a place on your top 25. You will only gain credibility: people will see that you are not dogmatic and that you are willing to adjust your beliefs in light of further evidence.
I doubt Rob would mock you with an "I told you so," after his confession at the end of Raizing week. Since both Garegga and DB are in my top 5, I am prepared to think that enjoyment of the one plausibly goes together with enjoyment of the other.
