I'm curious why in that thread, it was mentioned that two BL PCB versions "died" in Italy. Were they bootleg versions that worked at one point, and then died? Or is there really a possibility of official board suiciding?

Sadly I don't have any further information. I asked those guys for pics of their dead pcbs, but unfortunately they're not friends of teh internet, and basically they don't care. Only Raiden Fighters 2 provided a pic of his working (and original, says rtw) PCB. If one day I'll be able to provide pics of the dead boards, I'll do it in no time!
