These two seem to fit together. :)
Don't expect me to take this playing week lightly.

None of us can even stand Gunbird, so why the fuck should we pick something that we all hate, just to irk the rest of you people? To me, Gunbird, like the other older Psikyo (Sengoku Ace and Strikers 1945), is a piece of shit. I wouldn't even use the game disc as a coaster.
Translation- We want Gunbird to win.

Oh, and FYI, I've been playing Psikyo all week, despite my hatred of the company. Don't expect me to take this playing week lightly.
I have to say: it's stuff like this that's making this the most fun I've had on this forum in a while.

I finally got a reaction, but still no votes!

The suspense is killing us, guys. We'd like to know which game to practice this weekend too!

I'll vote Dragon Blaze because I've been practicing it already.

Let's see if I can get anywhere in this 2nd loop!

I'm getting there. If I can get through the last stage with a ton of bombs for the boss I'll clear it for sure. Oh right, and not dying a whole bunch before hand.

Cheating my way to the loop has me doubting I'll get past 2-1 though...

I think I'll go with my team mates, and vote for Dragon Blaze.

Part of what drew me to the first two strikers games, what that whole WWII-looking alternate reality. The third game just looks... well, like a normal shmup now. Doesn't seem to have that twist to it anymore. So I'll go with something a bit different.

Unofficial Poll:
subtract 3 from Dragon Blaze
Add 1 for Gunbird

My vote is for Dragon Blaze
professor ganson wrote:Suggestion for an addendum to the official rules: in the case of a tie in voting the winner is the game that more people can play (thanks to ports).
A decent suggestion, but for situations like this where the game-playing is expected to start immediately after the voting ends, I feel a quick understandable concrete on-the-spot solution people can already grasp beforehand like extending the vote time two hours would work better.

Say we used the suggestion. For an example, lets say Gunbird and Dragon Blaze tied evenly. right at the deadline, I or Edge would have to make everybody wait and quickly have to find out exactly what consoles both games were ported for. Then after 3 days of allowing open voting, just me or Edge, who are already on our own teams (which may be used as scapegoat for bias), make our sole judgement. Then say we researched the porting ability too slowly, we get bitched at for holding up the tourney with possible demands of extending the playing deadline beyond monday. Then say we researched the porting ability too quickly and somebody else finds a counterdiction (like say I go with allowing MLF against landshark's research and use that as basis for declaring Gunbird the winner over DB). Well, I don't even wanna go into how bad that drama would get on these forums...

It would feel like George W. Bush's 1st election win all over again, in a nutshell.

That's as brief as I can explain it. But thank you for the input.

Makes little difference anymore, but Dragon Blaze.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Thanks for the response. I was suggesting this when it looked like Strikers 1999 might catch up with Dragon Blaze. Fortunately, that didn't transpire. 8)

I realize it, but I play all Psikyo games equally badly, so it doesn't make much difference which one gets picked

There's a reason I haven't played much of them for 3 years.
