I'm trying to figure out the name of this vertical scrolling space shooter
for PC that I used to play. It was a 1-2 player game that took place in
space. Between levels you could use money you earn to purchase upgrades
to your ship like engines, ship models, and of course weapons. The bonus
stage looked something like a field of orange spheres that you had to go
around, and you could collect fruits. If two players are selected, the
second player would be the mouse and the first would use the keyboard.
The second player was a much larger ship and the two could conjoin. I
don't know if this game rings any bells, but i would really appreciate it if someone could help.

Loved Tyrian, came with my first computer. Played the demo nonstop.
