It looks like 492,669. The score is displayed in our numbers at the top of the game screen but is written in an odd way.
There is a translation posted in the strategy section if you forget to capture your score before you go to name entry. Only the number 4 looks a bit different.

And the score reads from top to bottom on the far left hand side of your initials. The middle number going down is your max coin chain I seem to recall (haven't played in ages, so not 100%). Number of continues and stage reached are also shown I think.
Look at arrogantbastards post on the second page here to see an example of a translated score.

Re: Guwange
Code: Select all
freddiebamboo 3,986,651 5 6,017 Gensuke

Just in case people are wondering:
Gensuke - strong semi-piercing Shot, slowest speed Shikigami with clustered bombs, average running speed
Shishin - variable sweeping Shot, average speed Shikigami with clustered bombs, slowest movement speed
Kosame - weakest narrow rapid Shot, fastest Shikigami with forward trail bombs, fastest movement speed
The difference in movement speed for both character and Shikigami isn't too great, but it is noticeable if you are used to a particular character and then make the switch. The majority of players use Kosame for her movement and Shiki speed, and her Shot is weak, allowing prolonged milking. Shishin holds a chain better due to the variable Shot movement which can catch more enemies in one sweep, while Gensuke can obliterate enemies and bosses.

Cheers for the info Icarus. I'm still experimenting with what character I like best - Gensukes piercing shot is swaying it for me right now.
Do the characters spirits have the same shape/cancelling area? I could swear the chick has a slightly larger one than the others, but it could well be the sprites size fooling me.
Also, what is the difference between cluster bombs and the forward trail bomb of kosame?

Not entirely certain about the cancelling size of the Shikigami. I think it is size dependent - while Kosame's white fox is fast, its also small which makes it more difficult to catch enemies, for example, while Shishin's demon is pretty large and can cover an area better.freddiebamboo wrote:Do the characters spirits have the same shape/cancelling area? However, the exploding bombs that are fired when you hover over a target with the Shikigami negates the size a bit. Since Kosame's bombs are forward trail type, they can catch things a limited distance in front of them, which is normally pretty good when it comes to bullet nulling.
Gensuke is great for pure power, the piercing Shot and the decent Shikigami are great for plowing through enemies and bosses. I tend to switch between Gensuke and Kosame, as I also like Kosame's speed and excellent milking ability. Shishin isn't my kind of character - while the Shot is great for keeping a chain as you can sweep it to tickle targets to maintain your chain meter, he's also very slow and not as powerful as Gensuke.

Here are all scores of the tournament, it would be nice if you'd include them in your highscore table as well.
