man im still shakeing

its just one of those games that you have to grind and eventually lady luck will give you that run where all the enemy placements and stuff are just right...
man im stoked oldschool week is over, i hate pre 90's shmups

Heh. Well, I don't know about that. Plenty of good players have gotten close to or above the 2 million mark already, so unless everyone just stops playing abruptly, my score's still in jeopardy... especially with a good day-and-a-half yet to goRob wrote:I think you've got this one in the bag, The Coop.
Yah - nice job The Coop. I'm not sure I'm going to try topping that. I did some playing today - ended up playing Gigawing instead. =)Rob wrote:I think you've got this one in the bag, The Coop. Team Old Schoolers avoid embarrassment.
And Sweden still in the game. Shucks. Next round.
Congratulations! The Coop wrote:The stars aligned, and a light shown down upon the monitor. In that light, was a man smiling like an idiot, flipping off his monitor as he typed in his screen name initials and grabbed a finishing screenshot... and then began rubbing his sore hand and wrist

You deserve that first place on the board. ^_-

Are you going to try to crack the US version of Raiden Fighters?Icarus wrote:Congratulations! The Coop wrote:The stars aligned, and a light shown down upon the monitor. I've already done the Japanese version of RF1 back when I still had the PCB.Twiddle wrote:Are you going to try to crack the US version of Raiden Fighters?
Graphics and play mechanics are ~99% emulated on RF1 (no problems I can see), music tempo is a little wrong on stages 3 and 6, though.Icarus wrote:I've already done the Japanese version of RF1 back when I still had the PCB.
Not sure if I can be bothered to relearn the game again. ^_-
Maybe someday I'll return to it and record a replay to verify my score... if the emulation of RF1 is somewhat decent (video- and audio-wise).
