so far i have no clue what im doing (1st go i mean cmon), just flying and shooting basically..

Edge, you should just list the stage numbers in your table. Stage name is pretty irrelevant in this game, especially if you get to Infinity Area. Its not like Darius Gaiden/G-Darius where the stages are actually unique and part of a selected route. ^_-

I actually agree on this! You can theorethically spend an eternity on Alpha stage and still get a really high score (not advisable though...just stating the possibility).

I know that every stage has a certain letter. Though I thought it might be more fun to list the greek letter as well. If it may look confusing or misleading I can cut them from the table.

So far I've had no luck getting that 50,000 bonus. It says in the manual: "Wait until the Lario's core lights up before desrtoying it [for the bonus]." I probably need to switch to a bigger screen 'cause I'm having no luck seeing the core light up.

Its a piece of cake, even on AUTO 5.
All it is is timing when you start your attack. You have to go a bit earlier than you would do normally if you were using a faster AUTO rate.

this is going to be a bad week

does autofire make any difference in this? i still have to hammer the fire button to kill anything at all, maybe i set it up wrong, although it worked fine for blazing star

No I'm not. I'm convinced the rate of fire at which you need to shoot the secret tile can only be had through the powerup (if your delay is no lower than 5). I've tried numerous times without the powerup and I've always failed.

Did you try point-blanking it? (not theoretically possible with some enemy waves)

I think at any rate you have to point blank. But you'll also have to dodge some enemy fire. So I either a) evade and don't shoot the tile enough, or b) shoot the tile almost enough but get hit.

Just need that extra oomph of the Purser.

Having the Purser virtually doubles your hitbox size as well as the rank, but whatever floats your boat...

I confirmed that it can be (theoretically) obtained without the hitbox/rank-raping powerup. In fact, you have a better chance of getting it that way.

Also, the fossil is a giant fish in stages 12-16. If you die anywhere near there, it won't appear anymore.

The 80k bonus works only for the long vertical lines of the green arrows, I believe the first spot is area 11. It's possible with our auto setting, but somewhat difficult.
