Gigawing RGB fix needed

A few weeks ago I picked up a Japanese Gigawing 1. The game refused to boot in both my Japanese and PAL Dreamcast (with boot disc). At first I thought the disc was faulty, but then I found out that the game will only boot if no RGB cable is connected. Very annoying! I know that several games don't allow RGB. I wonder if this is a bug or on purpose...

Anyway, since I own the original, I consider myself legally entitled to download an iso and patch it; however: I can't find a patch for Gigawing 1 (JP). http://www.megagames.com/dc/dc_patches_g.shtml only has a patch for the US version.

The U.S. revision of DC GigaWing 1 GD-Rom disc works fine in Japanese 21-pin RGB mode with a USA Bios region DC console. ^_~

If you d/l it either way, why not get the US version? The Game is the same,
isn't it?

Well, from a legal standpoint I suppose I'd have to get an iso of the Japanese version, since I only own that. Anyway, yeah, I'm not going to buy the same game twice just so I can apply a patch.

The PAL version is 60hz and of course supports RGB as standard. The only difference is the omission of the speech from the Japanese version.

Some time back I had trouble getting my US GW to work on my US DC, and found that the RGB connection was the problem...afaik only the PAL version supports it.
