How do I save on Shikigami II DC?

Post by SuperGrafx »

I'm stumped.

Each time I fire up Shiki 2 on my JPN DC, I get some kind of warning screen with 2 options before I even get to teh title screen. I'm guessing this warning screen governs whether or not auto-save is turned on, right?

Well, no matter what I do I can't get the game to save anything. I've tried 2 VMU's with no success. And just to rule out hardware failure, I tried this on a US DC with a boot disc. Same issue each time.

I really want to play this game, but it sucks not being able to save to VMU. Can someone help me please?

I don't recall having any trouble. And you're sure that there's plenty of room on your VMU?

Yea, the game requires a crazy ammount of space (literally more than 80 blocks), make sure you have enough, then it worked fine for me...

WTH
more than Shenmue

what a jip...you're better off sticking to the PS2 game rather than forfeit nearly 50% of a VMU

I've tried two VMU's. Both were clean formatted using the "ALL" command under the VMU screen when you start up the DC. Far as I can tell, both VMU's are completely empty, yet I still get the warning screen.

I can't even do a "system save" from Shikigami's menu screen. WTF is going on with this game? If it helps, this is a legitimate game (I don't use CD'rs or pirate copies) and it plays except I can't save.

EDIT: D'oh! I just figured it out! I was using controller 2 instead of controller 1! That solves the problem, lol!

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
