First of all, I'm new to this board - lurked for a short while - and decided to sign up and hop in, so hello to all the fellow forum members.

Judging from some threads I read, this forum has some of the most enthusiastic and dedicated Shmup fans I've ever encountered on the Net; I totally love the spirit here, especially the contests and Shmupmeets...and now this: You organize your own Shmup shirts, how cool is that?!

I know I'm too late but please don't tell me it's too late like totally too late for ME, have mercy on me Gunbird18 and take my cash too.

I'm a huge Garegga fan and being the shirt collector I am, this is a must buy for me. So is there any XL shirt left? Please??

I'm also with the others voting for Raiden and Viper Phase 1 as a next project. And how about some Cave shirt(s)?

@Bishamon: You mentioned 2 other Garegga shirts. Could you please post some pics of them? Personally I'd prefer a shirt spotting the Sega Saturn cover (or alike) like roker suggested in that other Raizing shirt thread, maybe yours are more like that.
Are these shirts you have still available anywhere Bishamon and do you have some links for cool Shmups shirts?

@Belmont: Had to grin when you mentioned the toddler size. The lil son of my girlfriends sister regularly plays at my place and he would definitely look good in it and appreciate such a shirt too.

Okay, hope this goes way further and more shirts will be available soon.

Regards

I'd pay with paypal as well. Could you put the Garegga design on a hoodie?

Dragon Blaze, hmmmm.....

So many shirt ideas, so little time!

I'm also wanting to find a fellow shmuphead that could help a brutha out! If anyone could possibly send me some really tight scans of some shmup titles that are up for consideration for future shirts, that would be great.

I'm thinking about posters or possibly manuals???, anything. I don't have any of the Genny/MD Thunderforce games, so even a scan of the inserts would be great.

If someone gives me a good scan of their favorite title that would weigh in heavily for the next shirt!

A Thunderforce IV design would be sooo sweet, as long as it's not that Lightening Force text that looks like it was done by Disney.

My Garegga shirt arrived yesterday, delivery time was really short.

The shirt is awesome, nice quality too and of course I had to wear it immediately while playing a round of BG; it brought out the little boy in me. Later my girlfriend came in, saw the small parcel on the table and asked me about it. I told her and posed with the shirt and pointed to the game and she just shook her head and left. 8) I guess this meant something like "grow up" or "get a life".

I'll post a pic or two tomorrow.

Thanks alot gunbird18! I'm anxious to see your next work and really look forward to it. Still voting for Viper Phase 1...

Great to hear you liked the shirt, PK.

Great story about the girlfriend! As far as that goes, you might as well get used to it. I get the spouse shaking her head at me every day...

Shirts with game titles are cool but I was just thinking that it'd be really cool to have a shirt that showed a section of a shmup level. I think it was a scan from an Arcadia mag on here where I saw a sort of walk-through for Ikaruga that looked awesome.

I just needs me some good, tight Thunder Force scans or Viper Phase 1 scans and then I can get to work on the next one. I know I can probably do my own TF scans, there are plenty around the net, but I really need a good Viper Phase 1 scan. We just need to get the word out. Once I have a good sample for both, I will put up a shirt poll.

I'd love a Viper Phase 1 shirt, but only if one of the ship(s) was on it...otherwise people will just think its about the car. :?

Too late for a shirt? I've bought all of rib's, so I like spending money here. :) If not, no worries... I'll catch you on the next one!

I actually wore mine in public for the first time today, all while keeping my "cool guy" cred intact. I suppose it helped no one knows what the eff Battle Garegga is.

Yeah, my Cave shirt has gotten zero response. Wish I'd had it for E3 earlier this year. One person has given me props for the Treasure shirt (a friend of mine who knows their games), and one for my Ikaruga shirt. It's sad, but at the same time, in a way I'm kinda glad this stuff isn't ubiquitous like, say, Mario.
