I must say, it was an extremely close struggle between Armed Police Batrider and Donald Duck, but just at the very very end, Busrider managed to squeak by. :P

Code: Select all

Armed Police Batrider - 30 votes
Battle Bakraid        - 14 votes
Dimahoo               - 10 votes

Code: Select all

Armed Police Batrider ADVANCED COURSE - 17 Votes
Armed Police Batrider NORMAL COURSE - 13 Votes
Voting details are on page one. Thank you very much for understanding the time constraint and for voting all civil. No drama. I like it :D

Armed Police Batrider is the Game Choice for Raizing week.

Advanced course will be used.

Thank God. As much as I like the game, I don't think I can stomach playing Great Mahou in another tournament. ^_^;;

Ok, started the highscore thread: here

Finally the fun started again. ;)

And, yeah. I am relieved that not Dimahoo won the vote...
The item sets make me insane.

I'm not sure what the point of this question is, but the more the better.

The point is to allow as many players as possible the chance to participate. As good as tjhe game is, there's no guarantee that even half the listed players even own Soukyu on some format or other. It wouldn't be fair to the majority of participants if Ketsui was chosen as the game for Cave week, would it?

Just to clarify...20 min is enough to set the starting rank back to normal, nowhere near 1 or 2 hours.

Finally I can play on PCB!

Oh, so Souky is not available on mame. I guess that is a problem. Too bad.

And the graphics are all screwed up, with lots of slowdown even on my PC. Maybe when the next STGT rolls in, it might be fixed enough to be available for selection. ^_-

I'm not. I have the Saturn version to keep me happy. ^_-

I would have liked Soukyugurentai to be a selection choice, but given the circumstances (availability, and the game's native hardware) I doubt we'd be able to compete in the game under tournament conditions for a while yet. -_-;;

Yeah, I own the saturn version too, I could have played it.

Though I'd prefer Batrider anyway :)

:( I wish Dimahoo won. I always like trying to get to the level 4 chests with 4 bombs to watch the score climb.

Souky seems to play pretty good in SSF as far as I can tell. The only problem is that I can't get the emulator to work with the ST-V romset - the BIOS doesn't recognize the cartridge (strike one for accessibility). Not to mention the steep hardware requirements (even with an Athlon64 4000+, I'm not getting full framerate - strike two).

Anyway, Souky is far more playable in SSF than in MAME (this is true for just about all ST-V games).

my (unnecessary, too late) vote goes to Dimahoo for his reasons.

p.s. another contest week with me out of it. ;_;

seriously guys.. this whole "initial rank" discussion is overhyped.. i play the PCB and the rank doesnt go up that much even after 10 plays on a row.. i dont feel it affects my play anyways.. not at all..
