[fw.net replaytracker] update announcements

Post by Icarus »

Okay, I'll be leaving this thread here for those here who have upload access to my BitTorrent Tracker to bump whenever they have a new distro they would like to announce.

To get us started, chtimi has very kindly uploaded torrents for the RealMedia encoded first loop of Ketsui Kizunajigokutachi, and a Guwange ALL clear with a maximised score. Thanks! I have a Battle Garegga Gain ALL ripped from the DVD, and Kiken's Gradius Gaiden Jade Knight ALL going as well. Get em while they're hot!

Just one request: can those downloading PLEASE leave your torrents running for as long as possible to help others to download. I'll seed all the stuff on the tracker for at least a month after they've been added, to help everyone download. Please, do the same.

Once again, this thread is for the uploaders who would like to announce their new uploads. If you wish to have upload access on the tracker for distribution of replays, music and other shmup stuff, please feel free to send me a PM, and I'll add your Shmupsforum screenname and a password to it for you.

Enjoy!

OK, I've made my first attempt to upload a video of the second level of DDP, with a 464 hit chain using ship type A-L. The program says "seeding" but I don't know if it's working or not...

I was about two seconds away from ripping the Guwange replay to add to the tracker. Guess I'll scratch that. :)

Gradius III replay (sorry for the lack of details on the tracker):
1st loop, 622410 pts., no name entry in video

edit: seeded for several (12 or more) hours each day for a month. I'm giving it a rest.

Thanks guys, keep the stuff coming :D

For the first OST release on the tracker, I've uploaded the Viper Phase One gamerip OST (taken from the PS1 version of Raiden DX). The OST is incomplete - it's missing the boss music - and isn't tagged, but is good quality.

I see quite a few complete downloads but only a handful of seeders. Can those who have downloaded off the tracker PLEASE help with seeding, even for a short while. A few hours, a few days or a few weeks, anything. Any help with seeding is appreciated, and can free up our uploader's resources so they can share more torrents.

Did you try Azureus ? It's a Java bittorrent client, so it should work on a Mac.

theres always google. or the bittorrent site itself (which is the first search result for 'bittorrent'), which has a link to an os x bittorrent client right on there.

i just use the official client, but azureus should work fine as well, although im not sure if they fixed the bug which crashed dual cpu systems (not a concern if you dont have one of course). theres a few others, bits on wheels and tomato torrent are the only ones i can think of off the top of my head. havent tried either myself, but just showing some other options

course if youre using os 9, just ignore all that cause theres no way to torrent there afaik.

I remember Click-Stick.com had them once, both the original and the gameripped Arranged OST, however he is no longer distributing them off his site. I have a handful of MP3s taken from my own rip of the OSTCD on my site.

If you can't find the OST on #gamemp3s, lemme know and I'll pop a quick torrent up when I'm done seeding these seven torrents. I've also got my own personal CD rip of Studio Siesta's Espgaluda Arranged (took me a while to find a place to buy it) which I'll consider as well. Help me seed what's up, and I'll upload one of the three OSTs in the next few days.

I got the full Batsugun soundtrack... recorded directly from my PCB, so it's a true "osv".. i mean no emulatorshit or from soundtrack cd's that often has echo effect added or is in arranged from.. my recording is for the arcade purists

Yeah, I can't be seeding a million of these things at once with only a 60kb/s upstream, but I can put up a couple at a time. For now, maybe I'll put up the R-Type final soundtrack.

It's up now, by the way.

Guys, a quick heads up. From the rules:

"No ISO trading, ROM begging, bootlegging, copyright infringement, or assistance with any of these – for example warez FTP site details. It doesn't matter what is legal in your country, there are no exceptions to this rule – although discussion of emulation is not a problem."

OSTs are copyright work.

Erk, yeah, sorry about that :P

I'll try to keep the news updates solely about replays, etc. :)

Ack, I'm going to remove the ShmupMusic category from the tracker, since I don't want the tracker resource to go to waste. Replays and other video footage only then, I guess.

Sorry guys, my bad :(

EDIT: tracker changes complete, OST torrents deleted. Once again, sorry guys, my oversight :( :(
