Edge - To be honest, the whole of UK Team 1 are new to Blazing Star. We are currently waiting on one more score.
Then I will post a consolidated UK namakoteam 1 result this evening.

LOL. You sound a little cranky there Robbo. Have a Coke and a smile. ^_-
I submit scores like every ten seconds on the regular score threads I'm in. Its nice not to rush them in every once in a while.

I heard that this game is used as the ultimate cruelty in Guantanamo. Can't believe people like it, honestly.

Yeah, it's just kind of tacky to use others forthcomingness in a friendly competition. It makes it seem unfriendly, like a Nemo thread.

Speaking of which,

Just a slight improvement, but I honestly think I can't do better, at least not today. I'm pretty sure I'd be able to clear the game if I played it for one more week, but considering my constantly growing hate for the game, this is pretty unlikely to happen.

I lost my first life right after the stupid rotators on stage 6. Then, to my own amazement, got through the tunnel of doom unharmed ...somehow. I got halfway through the boss fight, but lost my two remaining lives there.

We'd need some more debate with people re-iterating the same point for one gazillion times because they study law, though.

Hope the next competition is not some shitty game selected just because a bunch of people appear, vote some shitty title and then disappear "because they're busy".

I'd be careful of who you call "unfriendly". But lets not bring that up here.

Besides, we'd like a chance to put a decent score together before posting, y'kno. ^_-

I just had an idea about the following week's pick. Only people who post scores this week get to vote (since there was talk of votes in PM?). How about that? No non-players deciding our gaming fates. 8)

Also, when will Edge snap?

falsificare

p.s. If the total was over 40 million, just give me a wink and I'll stop playing this garbage.

Why stop playing? GEMANT's score isn't untouchable.
What makes me laugh is that you score higher than me in stage4, according to your screenshot.

Because I know my limits in score and pain.

A horrible secret: I've been keeping rank as low as possible. It was like 160/255.

Really? I haven't. ^_-
Rank is a key element to scoring in this game. My last bunch of plays have all had ending rank levels of 220+.

Managed to squeeze a bit more out of myself. 40k short of the 20 million mark? Close enough.

Falsificare?

Yeah, but please notice that we're not talking of sane people -_-

And beside that, i propose to debate about the method of selection in the other thread ~_~;

Gotta go eat. I think a few changes I just made should get me higher than this, if i manage to actually not die in dumb places.

Just my two cents:

I think that holding back scores until the end kind of hurts the competition a bit. It's like me running a race against a bunch of people that I can't see until anyone gets 5ft before the finish line. If I had been able to see them, surely I would have pushed myself just a -little- more harder. As I said in another thread, competition fuels improvement. But hey, what do I know. :) Maybe you guys can't handle the competition otherwise? ;) haha. Let me join in and hold back a score until the very end of the competition, surely people would learn not to like that.

You're a bit harsh Rando, BS is admittedly the best shmup on AES. Sure the mecanics are VERY strange but hey, must compete with that.
I don't quite love it BTW.

And I honnestly think that people have voted for this game because it was the best game available among the list provided. That's my own opinion obviously but seems to be the major opinion here. I would have been truly fucked up to play Sexy Parodius for a whole week.

I mean: we're the one who still keep bothering around about proofs, and fair play, and loyalty, and reliability and boring things like that...

Do you really think there's the need of such a flame?

ALRIGHT! CHRIST F'ING HELL!
If I knew people would get their knickers in a twist over this I would have submitted an intergral score.

Icarus - namakoteam - 39,858,780 - Stage 7 - Windina - [WolfMAME]

My actual top score is still to be submitted tonight with the rest of my team's records.
This 39mil is replay verified, using WolfMAME (replay on request).
You all have around nine hours (as I write this its 3.15pm GMT).

Please read first pos ton this thread: as of now (16:30 GMT) there's still
19 1/2 hours left!

And I plan to use them, I must get at least 1 non-embarassing score on this game. And although I can't stand the game anymore I will persue that goal. :P
