Arcade Shmups Release List (2000 to current)

Post by Harlequin »

Hi

I just wanted to compile a release list of the lastest Arcade Shmups.

I also want to add Shmups that have not been emulated yet on MAME.

So that would make about the last 5 years of releases (2002-2007...)

*Edit*

Have updated the list from the old thread on the topic and its
started from year 2000.

Most of the Shmups in 2000/2001 have been emulated.

It was due to be ported to the GP32 at one point wasn't it?

Never happened like most of the commercial games for the system.

My 2 cents - provide more info on Psy-MU & Psy-R G-Cards

It would be nice to state if said arcade shmup title was a dedicated Jamma PCB or game cartridge for dedicated arcade motherboard platform and released date for Japanese arcades would be most helpful indeed:

Here are two listed sample arcade shmup titles as examples:

Psyvariar Medium Unit -- Taito G-Card cartridge for Taito G-Net arcade motherboard -- released by Success Corp. in 3/2000 (release date in Japanese arcades)

and, of course, the Psyvariar Medium Unit G-Card got a later revision under the name of Psyvariar Revision G-Card (one helluva arcade shmup!),

Psyvariar Revision -- Taito G-Card cartridge for Taito G-Net arcade motherboard -- released by Success Corp. in 9/2000 (release date in Japanese arcades)

Dude, all kinds of. I've been wanting to play that since I saw pics. I like eating and shooting things.
