Aside from "Team Loser," "International Brotherhood of Losers," "Republic of Crapistan," and "Legion of Losers" ("LOL"), I was also considering "Regional Organization For Losers" ("ROFL") and "Losers' Mediocrity Appreciation Order" ("LMAO") in case the group got big enough to split into factions. I see no reason to limit ourselves to one name, since, as was said earlier, whichever it is people know who we are. Heck, throw in your own name ("Kusoteam" has already come to the fore, methinks) if you feel up to it.
I LOL'd. ^_-
Right now, I'm trying to find a picture of a table being propped up by a book. I was going to use it with the caption "kusoteam: propping up tables since 2006". ^o^

Super Buffet Sitting Turbo gets my vote. Otherwise, we need something like Team Blue Collar Obesity, but better. Such as Pierogies, Pigskin, and Pickup Trucks, but better.

You know what I was thinking? If you swap two letters in our team name... We're not even human.
(mspaint - lol - refuses to save this without making it look like crap, so if you want the original file).
Okay Twiddle, BM, here's the first one I made. Couldn't think of anything else at the moment, and need some input from you guys (pics, ideas etc). Let me know what you think. ^_-
Rob wrote:(would someone mind re-saving the original file as a gif (with a better program than ms-f'ing-paint)? too grainy)
Done.
Grainy looks quite good actually. Comic book style. ^_-

I have some old "Micro Adventure" books from the 80's... I think one of them had the code for a shooter that you could program in BASIC. We could play that!
In other news, I've begun intensive training --- I'm trying to to break 3000 points in Gradius. Wish me luck, guys.

You mean that Japanese shmup news site?
Oh Christ. That's making me nervous now. ^_^;;
That people might see our horrible scores and chuckle to themselves, or that a new superteam will register before the weekend? I think the latter would be kind of funny.
GaijinPunch wrote:Yes. He actually checks these forums and super-play.co.uk quite frequently.
Thats pretty cool. I remember seeing a Japanese webpage with a huge list of shootemup related links (not Danmaku-gata) and I saw fw.net, your site, this forum and others listed on it too. I've seen the forum linked on quite a number of Japanese pages as well.
Its a shame they don't post on here. It'd be nice to chat to them. Although the language barrier will always be a problem, like we've discussed a few times previously.

Oh man, this sounds really awesome. I have no idea if there's still time to sign up or not, but I'd totally be in on this. I know I'm a real n00b here, but hopefully there's a team that's willing to take me in - I'm not too bad.
Anyway, provided I make it on a team and can get my hands on the games, I'm ready to play.
So I started a Team Canada to get all new players in. I have put these players into the team: bVork, Galdur, Limbrooke, SFKHoa. But I didn't enter MrMonkeyMan, he is also from Canada but is already an essential member of Team Cowboy (which only consists of 4 players).
I hope the team formation is ok for everyone?

Stupid thing is that if you translate the message with Excite it translates like this:
Shumups!"Shooting Game Tournament 2006" in ..drinking.. Sre The becoming it project seems to have stood up. [Shumups!]
Is he suggesting the tournament was thought up after drinking too much (of Sre (whatever that would be I suppose it would be 80% alcohol at the minimum)).
I'll drink one at that! *burp*

Yeah I'm down, as long as we can come up with a good sig.
