Anyone got any info on this (i.e. tate mode)?

MOD EDIT: edited thread title to read PS1 instead of PSP... -TF

It'll be exactly the same as Capcom Generation 1 for PSX and Saturn. I'm pretty sure that had tate mode.

Woah PSP? That's a sole reason just to get one.

Ah of course...*sniff*

Wasn't there a rumor a while back about Radiant Silvergun being on the GBA?

Criminy, is there some law that we can't get ports of either 1941 or XX?

19XX was released too recently (1996 to be more specific).

I see no reason for 1941 to not be on there, though, it was made in 1990.

Capcom promised us never-before-seen arcade ports coming soon. Where are they?

i think there are 2 distinct capcom classic releases, and you are confusing the two:
-one is the rerelease of capcom generations on ps1
-the other is the new capcom package on ps2, supposedly with never ported before games
i'm not 100% sure of that though

Yeah, I really shouldn't be surprised XX isn't on there. But if they're going to re-release such an old pack they could at least give folks incentive to buy this instead of the older pack. How hard can 1941 be to port?

Capcom does have an incentive. They are re-releasing it with a special history or guide book. The book is probably big too considering how Play-Asia is charging slightly over 10 dollars for shipping. But yeah, I would like to see 1941 added too.

1941 Counter Attack did get a home conversion.

However the platform it was released on is a bit rare,
so it would be nice to have an updated version.

Be warned about the TATE mode.
I have the Saturn version. There is a TATE mode, but it is not full screen.
This ia partially due to the resolution used by the original arcade PCB.

I wonder if they have fixed it this time around.
My thoughts:"....mmm...NO!

To illustrate:
the x's represent the screen size:

XXX

XXX XXX

arcade version Saturn version

Oh believe me, I know. I own a Supergrafx and Aldynes and someday will get the 1941 Hucard. And thanks, D for the info on the Saturn pack's TATE.

ah, didn't realize you were referring to the Capcom collections

But yeah I could really go for a home version of 19XX.

I'm starting to consider picking up the B board..
