i remember reading that MM's score trial was won by (clover)Hal, which i think is aka HDK/Takeyuki. oddly enough the score(s) were only maxed out later.
btw, in what "context" was the swy interview taken? score trial or just a general hiscore close up?(?)

Two or three part series about the Dodonpachi score scene. This was part 2 (here's a smaller image of the article *click*). The first was with NAI and/or some other top players.

AFIK, SOF (Soldier of Fortune) is the clan, NAI is the name of the member of it.

oxtsu, do you own that magazine? A higher res scan would be needed to do any translation. Can't make out all the characters.

If NTSC-J is reading:
You mentioned there was an interview w/ Treasure about the arcade release of Radiant Silvergun in one of your old Arcadias. Still around? Can you scan it?

Thanks for the translation, twe. Always a pleasure reading the interviews with top players, because it gives you an insight on how they approach the games with their method / skills.

I'd love to read some more translated interviews if possible.

Not to be a stick in the mud but technically speaking I believe your translation is a violation of THEIR copyright, and as you're not the original copyright holder you can't claim copyright on it.

I have the issues with the other parts from this Dodonpachi scene series. I'll look through and take some hi-res pics tonight (aside: I need a good scanner!...waiting for the pricedrop on this).

OK. Sorry, I was mistaken before. This series is not just Dodonpachi scene (that's another article a little before this, I'll have to check again), but hi-score players in general. The interviews are as follows -

part 1: ISO
part 2: SWY
part 3: NAL
part 4: T3-SHISHIOU
part 5: EXCHANGER
part 6: SSC-VAP
part 7: HAMHAM (?...ZeroGunner2,etc player)

FYI, I own that scanner. It's pretty nice. Looking at the updates page at gamengai, you can get a sample of what it looks like in action if you check out the entries for the last couple of months.
